This is why coal is important. NO COAL= NO COAL FORGING..

I have an electric welder and eBay sells new chains.

The problem today is that a lot of folks under say... 40, if offered a crisp new $100 bill to take the day off without pay they would gladly do it even if they would make $200 for the day at work... get it?

haha welders are for woosies.

If you were paid $100 to take the day off without pay, you wouldn't really be taking the day off without pay?

... Get it =)

YES!! LESS PEOPLE!! WIN WIN!!

Short of ethnic cleansing... That IS true, less people on the planet would make for a better environment. Fucking Monsanto is trying like hell to help but the doctors keep saving people.

I get it more than you realize actually =)

Though I am sub 40, I am an adult ed welding instructor. Some of my students are "sponsored" by job and family services. Believe me when I say I GET IT haha

Some, not all though, would make $100 if they went to work and $200 to stay home. That is partially the fault of our system in my opinion. At that I digress, as my opinions on politics and welfare would probably quickly get bumped off of here by a mod due to some blood thirsty lazy parasite that gets upset that I don't think they should get paid if they don't work.

Hard to say if it's systemic or cultural.

But as a blood thirty lazy parasite, I have to say that I favor the Swiss system: 2,500 to each person, each month, unconditionally.

Yup. I hesitate to call it "paid for", because they all pay in to support it, but yup. Back when I was living in Eurpoe, I think six weeks of paid vacation was the norm for the Swiss?

See, that's just it, the system is "paid for" by the people, the US can't get there because we have far to many people who don't work or are retired boomers oooor about to retire at any moment... Rock meet hard spot.

I'm not too sure how we compare to a lot of other first world nations when it comes to employment rates, but I suspect we're close.

We should really just get rid of minimum wage, though. That should help employment.

go to youtube and check out Bill Burr the comedian, he has a theory about too many people that you would like.
Monsanto and big pharma work together, one gets you sick while the other develops meds to get you better (excluding all the side effects like suicide or bloody urine).

And I don't get paid when I don't work but thats the trade off for me not to have an employer or boss

Welp, that's where forum talk gets funny. I'm talking about "lifers" that have lived on the system for years. I don't personally know ya, but my idea is that your NOT a guy that has lived off of the system your entire life, especially as you have your own business (which personally I am thankful for). I also was speaking in generalization. I like this quote, can't remember who said it nor the context..

"All generalizations are false, including this one".

True that. :D

I was on government assistance for about two years in my early 20s. I figure that was a pretty good investment for the government, though. I've certainly paid a lot into the system since then. ;D

the problem is a large % of the people on assistance were born into it as were their mothers its generational
its burrowed in real good the gobermint owes me mise monies
the only cure is motherfuckers that are on welfare should not be allowed to vote till they git a fucking job cause now even hildabeast is promisin'free free free
who do you think a welfare drone is gonna vote for ? the one that promises the most free shit tghatsz who
