I'd love to see a "poor man's" version of that! ;) The concept is very enticing. 8)

It's beautiful...but I see alot of frame mods in your future if you want to go this route.

Thanks guy's, yeah i'm not sure I would do a single sided swinger tristan but sure will need some frame mods. For sure being able to flick between road and dirt is handy chicken but the old xl is a heavy girl, I once went off road with some buddies on her and as we were decending a step hill with them easing their way down I come flying past the lost of them  when they got to the bottom they all said "gee you can ride that thing" me catching my breath "Big heavy single + drum rear + step gravel hill = OH HELL, NO STOPPY  plenty of torque though and would have a great note with the right pipe up under the seat ;)

Not to be the buzzkill, but that is a lot of overboard suspension mods for a comparatively light ass bike. I'm all about pullin' off a look but USD forks and single swinger on a vintage dual sport reeks of overkill. With a good shop set up I could see you pulling of a great build with this thing that doesn't have so much of a WTF factor by using some more subtle donor/fabbed parts.

Ya it looks like a sweet thing offroad, i would love a ktm dual sport or one of there hypermotard bikes for the on/off road ability.

jesus, as it is I wanted an old honda dual sport. this just makes it worse.

DO IT!

I asked for objective opinions and yours is greatly appreciated :) your right about the single swinger too much, but I have to say the usdf's are one of the main visual cues I like about this bike, I wouldn't be strapping on the most expensive but you get the idea ;)

Wait.....Crescent........are YOU bemoaning overkill? For real? Hahaha...that's fantastic! Seriously a neat looking bike but it all falls to personal taste.
I'm all for flashy and wild: bikes, cars....women.....

I would however keep one eye on reality when it comes to Classified's builds. The kat has a keen eye for 'look' but pay attention to the details, especially layout and how rideable the final product is. The chainline on that bike will have issues as the pivot has been moved FARTHER from the output shaft, not good. The swingarm angle is kinda lame for what it should be. If this kind of conversion is something that interests you, look to Roland Sands' roadrace conversions for inspiration for chassis mods.

I'm sure you have all seen this little clip but.......I'll add it just in case

IMHO, Classified Moto make some sick ("looking") bikes. I love them. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds for something so epic, nor do I have the talent ;)

I'd love to see someone whip a ride up like that.

Stellar stuff.

I have my eye on a XL600 that I want to turn into something like the KT600 shown above.
But I also have found other insperation -

I loved my CB360 cafe racer, but it was not the best bike to do something like this - at least not without killing it

I dont ever see complants about putting USD's and nice shocks on 350s and 450s etc. The XL600 is a mich bigger and heavier bike than those.
I personally love the dual sports turned street custom.
