If by "Devil" you mean Crackhead, and by "The Details" you mean Mooresville, NC?
Than I couldn't agree more ;)

Von- that comment was directed towards the forum member intentionally trying to instigate BS that has been resolved.

I meant that the poster had no point of reference and wasn't privy to the details of which he was blatantly trying to underhandedly slander- If you want to insult someone it is a cowardice move to not be forthcoming.

Always someone in a crowd trying to start drama for themselves to relish in (like there isn't enough in life already).I have seen it time and time again , everyone is a badass on the internet and there alter egos run amuck It must be a sad life devoid of mature relationships in which disagreements are never resolved and peaceful friendships are never established. If there is an ignore button on here I am about to use it . I don't post here everyday because I have a wife and kids and the responsibilities that come along with that but I do try and contribute positively when I find time to in a considerate and mature manner. That being said THIS IS OFF TOPIC- Moderators please take note

If there is anyone that doesn't like my opinions or reading what I have to say , surely feel free and IGNORE me for the sake of the entire community, nobody want to read about personal BS on a motorcycle forum.

I find it odd that I didn't mention any names or specific transaction, but yet you automatically assumed it was about you. Guilty conscious maybe?

I don't reckon I have much to say on here. Most of the time I lurk here or over at the SOHC4 site where I tend to post a little more. My primary reason for using both sites is to obtain an edjemacation about a specific topic related to the old Honda's I like to work on. Occasionally I have posted a for sale or want item at both sites. Sometimes I have got a real good deal both ways from a top seller or buyer. Like most of you I have bought of Feebay as well. I enjoy helping out someone when I can afford too as well but free parts are becoming a thing of the past. I would like to make two points:

The first is the discussion about limiting a for sell post to a member who has a minimum number of posts. I don't think that will help anyone including me. Sometimes newbies sell for real cheap or perhaps they are a member in standing like myself who seldom post. The idiots that are only here to sell will simply go do a crap load of ++1 posts to comments in order to meet the minimum and they will be right back in the game.

The second is related to price; especially the price of Honda parts. The bottom line is that they aint makin any more 70's model motorcycles. The cafe and bobber along with the restoration, strip and sell and scrap metal craze is depleting the available market significantly. I remember in my area of the country a hundred dollar Honda was commonplace. Not anymore. The price of a junk bike with a CLEAN title has escalated significantly along with the associated parts. I just looked at a brake rotor and some associated parts listed for 150 bucks. I believe this is a good example of what we can expect to see in the future whether we like it or not. As with most older automotive equipment and supplies the price will continue to be the maximum the market can bear. For us bikers that like old school bikes its a two edged sword. At the same time we are paying higher prices we should also realize that the bikes we have saved from the scrappers and part strippers are also increasing in value. We should reflect that in the price we ask for our daily rider relics!

I hope everyone has a nice day and that I didn't step on anybodies toes with my opinion but that's the way I see things.

Hmm, some good points Bootlegger. But a lot of us got into the bike biz in the 70s or 80s, so to us, they pretty much always have been/will be throw away bikes. To this day I won't pay over $1/cc for running air cooled metrics from the 60s through the 80s. Bikes like my highly modified Savage are worth $300 as non-runners. Broken up for parts, they fetch around $1000, if you manage to sell everything usable and scrap the rest.

I can't believe the amount of money not only asked, but paid, for cast off parts or cheap replica parts. That said, if I get the transmission unstuck on the 63 Honda, the price goes up. It can only be used for parts or a track bike unless you live in an easy to title state like I do. So instead of A cold beer, it will be a CASE of cold beer. Worth more than that as scrap metal, but if somebody is that desperate to "rescue" a rotten old metric and put it back in service...

Bring me a case of cold PBR tall boys and come get the thing. I'd rather spend my hard earned motorcycle mad money on something big enough to ride, anything under 650cc isn't worth the headaches.

I don't get it ... VM30's are $89 ea brand new so asking $250 for a used set is somewhat rude ...
( oh, you get a set of $2 emgo pods and someone's used cables as a bonus )
