I'll take some pictures of the ZX6 tail light tonight for you. It's used and a little rough, one of the mounting screws is broken off. If it will work for you I'd be interested in a trade. What are the dimensions of the Lucas?
Yeah, at least 2 spots anyway. The one mounting bolt is off and the housing is cracked across from the broken bolt. If it's too beat up for you to use I won't be offended.
Finally got some more work done today. Finished the filler pieces and welding and grinding and got the first coat of body filler on. I'll be heading back out shortly to make some dust and see if it needs more filler.
After 3 coats of filler and lots of sanding, I've got it pretty close to where I want it before paint.
Still needs some spot putty and more sanding.
Today I picked up said spot putty and also found a Lucas style tail light like the one Leon has.
I've got Tuesday off for Canada Day eh, so I'll be spending that finishing up the body work and mounting and wiring the tail light. Hopefully I'll get some paint on it too.
Finished the bodywork today and sprayed a little paint. All I could find in the garage was blue so it's blue for now.
While the paint was drying I laminated some foam with spray glue.
Then glued it down to the seat pan and started shaping.
The foam is pretty close to where I want it but I'm going to ride it tonight and see how it feels. Just from sitting on it, it feels a little tall so I might still carve it down a bit more.
I also got the holes drilled for mounting the tail light but I haven't got it wired yet due to lack of connectors.
Got the tail light mounted and removed the fender and stock light this weekend.
Next step (hopefully in the next 2 weeks) is the seat cover and then paint.
has anyone tried to make the back part just attach on over the seat to hide it and when you need to have a passenger you can just pop it off and there ya go! rather then having to have two seats and take the time to remove one to put the other on for your passenger. ???

I thought about going that route but I wanted to get rid of the fender and relocate the tail light. It's only 2 seat pins, 4 bolts and 3 wire connectors to switch mine back to 2-up so it's not too bad and I rarely carry a passenger anyway.
Quick update, I finally got my sewing machine set up and running good so now I just have to get off my ass and get the seat cover made.
