a little bit of an update:


i will soon have these sweet fork mount handle bar clamps in my hands. They were made by our very own Swagger.

Once they arrive I'll be bending a set of bars that will be welded to the clamps then mounted below the top tree. Thanks again Swagger beautiful work man.

Now that the bars are going to be low I really wanted to go back to the bikes roots. One of my early inspirations is boardtrack racers. the bars will have that feel and I want the tank to look less chopperish. At the moment it is more suited for the FU bars. It sits kind of high with a very shallow tunnel. Thats about to be fixed

Two inches will be added between the two halfs. I think the profile is much better

Even drag bars seem a little high now

Much better lines imho

the way it use to sit (frisco style...not my favorite)

I agree Joe He does fantastic work. I was expecting them to be mch boxier. This is much better. They have a little sex appeal

thanks for the offer Chris. Actually I'm working on picking up a new welder maybe this week if it works out. I've got my fingers crossed. The photos are a little misleading. Its actually much skinner than the photos make it look. The tank is very small. I found out its 1.2 gal. Thats one reason I want to add to it. If the welder falls through I may hit you up if the offer still stands then?

Looks good Troy. That tank will look perfect with the deep tunnel. I am very interested to see the bar mounts in action. Just keep perfecting her I'm loving every bit of it.

Much better than the frisco mount. So from what you say you are going to do someting like this? Add back the cut piece extending the depth of the tunnel?

Yes, of course the offer still stands. Certainly give it a go and see how it works. I would back-purge the tank, though, so you get a good weld.

That's it exactly Mike however a couple of mad men visited me this weekend and helped me build a new tank. I freaking love it but I'm torn between the two. At this point I'm leaning towards the new direction

A little garage time and some friends can bring about some wild results. Thank you to Kanticoy, Beatnic and my bud Jason. Amazing what can happen you you get 4 builders together.

Doug and Kiley studied the lines of my little scoot for over two days.
Vintage salt flat racer influence: Plans are rootbeer two tone with oval creme insert. 50s style lettering with race number on the side

Then Swaggers brackets arrived. I bent some new bars, made headlight brackets and tracked it all up

Tossed the Wizzer tank on. I love both tanks. I'm torn ...
