I have removed 50 pounds from this Dream to include 10 pounds of rotating mass.
The bike was formerly know as "Slow to Go and Slow to Stop". It's now known as the "CB Killer".
Stock wheel, Coker Firestone whitewall tires - 43 pounds 9 ounces.
Aluminum rims, Duro 308 tires, lightened hubs - 38 pounds.
So with the chain conversion and the rear sprocket carrier mod that's over 9 pounds of rotational mass removed.
Replaced air cleaner and tube with a velocity stack - subtract 1 pound 4 ounces.
Modified chain guard - subtract 2 pounds 2 ounces.
Lithium battery - subtract 6 pounds 9 ounces.
Removed rear fender and engine guard - subtract 8 pounds.
Removed front fender and guard, replaced with a carbon fiber shorty - subtract 4 pounds 12 ounces.
Replaced side panels with carbon fiber subtract - 2 pounds 15 ounces.
Replaced the seat and rack with a lighter seat - subtract 7 pounds 2 ounces.
Removed baffles, tool kit and tray - subtract - 2 pounds 14 ounces.
Passenger pegs (pair) – 1 pound.
Side stand - 1 pound 1 ounce.
Air Cleaner Cover – 4 ounces.
Backing Plate (pair) 1 pound.
Kick Start lever – 1 pound 5 ounces.
Modified shifter – subtract 5 ounces.
Lightened main stand – subtract 4 ounces.
Lightened the backing plate a bit mote – subtract 2 ounces.
Total of 50 pounds removed from the bike. It’s so much more fun to ride now!
