XS360 Bratstyle Replica- Codenamed: Sheeple II

Thanks for the info! I'd say our setups are similar but not identical. I'm running a 2-1 exhaust i welded up myself with a shorty reverse come muffler. I do have pod filters but I spaced them with about a 3 inch spaced and made sure the air ports were not blocked. I'm going to raise my needle...

I've got a similar setup on my XS360, just wondering what size jets you used. Pilots, mains, needle position...

turns out there was no play in the throttle cable and they were slightly open. I disconnected the cable and it idled just fine. Good to know it was just something I overlooked instead of a problem I'd have to track down

XS360 starts every kick but revs to the moon!

No clue what's happening but got my bike back together after sitting for over a year. Bike is a '77 XS360 kick only. Bike starts every time but when it does it revs to what I assume is redline(tach isn't hooked up). Throttle cable isn't stuck and throttle is closed. Slides aren't stuck either. I...

New issue...with the rectifier and regulator all wired up correctly(I assume) the bike is starting on the first kick every time so that's awesome. New problem...when it starts, the bike revs to the moon. I don't have my tach hooked up so not sure what rpm it's revving to but it sounds like...

Here's the stock wiring diagram Here's a simplified diagram that adds to the confusion And yet another diagram that mostly follows the stock idea. It's for an XS650 but it shows my point. Lastly, here's the diagram out of the Motogadget manual. It shows "regulator" coming from the...

5ivemoto barn to Grand Canyon build thread

One thing to mention on the Motogadget M-unit, each circuit has an input and an output basically. It's split into a left and right side. Left side is where you wire in your switches and the right side is power out to each individual circuit (low beam, high beam, left signal, right signal, horn...

    Regulator wiring with Motogadget M-unit

Still confused haha. I really appreciate your help and I'm excited it's on the same bike too! The only thing is that on the Motogadget M-unit, each circuit is individual...so from your diagram, it looks like I'd tie brown into the + wire on the coils. Super confused. I've even talked to revival...

The XS is so close in every aspect...got all of my legal paperwork done and waiting for my bond to come in the mail tomorrow. I'll be registering it on Monday and it will be 100% legal. As far as the condition of the bike, it's pretty much done, just stuck on one small issue with the wiring...

    Regulator wiring with Motogadget M-unit

I'm finishing up the wiring on my '77 XS360 and the last thing I'm stuck on is wiring up the 2 regulator wires. I have a new 7 wire rectifier/regulator combo. The rectifier wiring is fine, 3 whites from the stator, red to power and black to ground. The issue I'm having is the wiring on the 2...

    fork swap issue

I've got a '77 XS360 and just finished doing a fork swap from a 2002 Suzuki SV650 (thanks to some all balls conversion bearings) and i've run into an issue. Everything fits great except now I've run into the issue of the axle diameter being too big. The axle on the SV forks is 17mm and the...
