Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. If I wanted to swap the entire front end (forks, triple trees, brakes etc) is there a standard steer tube and head tube length or do they vary from bike to bike? thanks

I am about 95 percent sure that you need to be a resident in georgia with a georgia license to register here. I'll try and find the site that has all of the information for you.

you should check with the tag office to make sure that you need a title for a bike that old. In Georgia, as long as the motorcycle is pre 1986 all that you need is a bill of sale, insurance and a drivers license.
