Havent been around here much lately, but i thought id share some pics. 72 CB500, been wrecked twice (not by me, once by the guy i bought it from, then it got hit by a bus while it was parked about 6 months ago) rattle can paint carpy seat mirrors, blinkers, bars from dime city finned everything...

oh and if you do sand those little nooks and crannys start with a very fine grit, 600+ cause scratches are gonna be a bitch later!

IMHO.... dont do it. i did and i regret it about once a month when i need to re-polish. But if you dont mind a crap ton of work, a dremel and their little polishing kit (i used my own rouge) will work. took me a few hours and its still not perfect. Oh and i recomend the polishing kit (comes in...

my dad tried this on an old set of pipes off a triumph. not 100% sure what he did right or wrong but they split length wise. Some one on another board tried it on a tank and split it at the seams, but ive seen pics of it done with out damage. just have to be on top of it. retail ice cream...

did you try sticking your pinky in the bar to see if there is a lip from the cut? mine required a little reaming to get the mirrors on...

Allright, since i couldn't even find anyone that has actually used one of these... and i cant afford Kerker's. I broke down and bought it. For the price i think its great, so here is some info for anyone interested. First off this is made for the newer Kerker's that are 2.5" at the collector...

dont have a pic at the moment, but i used a small peice of aluminum, 1" wide 2" long mounted the light to one end, mounted the other end to the stock location under my tail. you really gotta look underneath to see it. ill try and get some pics though... basically just "dropped" them 2"

i can have it done, fairly cheap i think... most any file format will do as long as the quality is good. let me know what you want and ill get a price. oh and you do the trimming...

could be a whole rash of shit... all of the above, plus things like, since it came from a hard stop...could have jiggled a jet loose, could have thrown the timing off, points, maybe jiggled a spark plug boot loose. the list goes on... when it does run, is it backfiring? if so from the carbs or...

just an idea but this tank was off a 78 ish cb400 hondamatic, small, kinda squarish, single outlet petcock which did cause trouble on my 500. but its different and i thought it looked cool. has a good size tunnel.... cant see why it wouldnt work on a 350....
