got one of these myself. a little slimming down is all it needs. don't over do it.

toss a bolt on the base of the stand to act as a spacer. worked for me.

Toronto has had 6 motorcycle fatalities this year. All male. our licensing laws are similar to the US; still quite easy to obtain a license. Tougher certification like those in Sweden may reduce fatalities. I scored my license using a scooter with no gears in 1991. :o

I'm having the same gas issue with my CL. With about 1/3 tank remaining. New petcock also. You solve yours yet? Just a dirty petcock? Build thread was a good read.

Stretch it over night by putting it around a bottle of wine. It'll provide just that little bit of elasticity you'll need. Worked for me.
