What I've noticed is the posts from guys who ask questions like they arent sure what they are doing, but when you look at the photos they attach, there are snap on roller boxes, ever kind of metal shaping gear imagineable, table lifts, and an assortment of other bikes.

VTWIN.. it will fit any bike really as long as frame rails arent too wide. I have the same seat going on a cb550. It's only the fiberglass... no mounting hardware so no matter what you have to make up a mount.

Having your own cable kit is great if you use it enuff. You could make it pay for itself by telling other people you know who work on their rides that you can make custom cables. I'm one of those that feel if I made it and it brakes.. stupid me. If someone else made it and I paid them for it...

Yeah. You know what really sucks? Breaking down miles from home, where there is no cell service, because a part you jimmied quit. If you need custom cables its worth the investment of going to a shop capable of making them up for you. Do what you want... just my opinion.

orrr.. why not just get the correct material? Why spend the same or more money on neoprene, when there is a product made to do exactly what you want?

Best thing to do is visit an upholsterer. Tell them what youre trying to do. They will probably have samples of foam you can see and touch, and may even be willing to sell you some.

The most comfortable seat would have more than just one density or type of foam... dense base, softer upper portions

I've ridden the V rod and wide glide.. I liked the wide gide.. didnt love it.. but the whole time I was on the V rod my mind was saying "nottaharley... nottaharley". To me it's just not the same. The sound, the feel...

MAN that sucks! I've been run off the road a few times, but never had anyone actually hit me! I always say dress for the crash.. and you did! That helmet tells it all. Drives me nuts to see people in shorts, tank tops.. even flip flops!
