In recent months I've noticed that I have an affinity towards small bikes. Anyway I've got a hook on a new project. I'm going to check out a 64 CB175 next week. So far the only downside to it that I can find is that the motor is locked up. I've got a couple of good friends who are bike...
They're kinda hardasses here about it. I had a coworker just go to court over passing a vehicle that should have failed. That damn DMV is a bunch of sneaky bastards that's for sure
It's not so much cafe as a good reference. http://honda-modernclassics.com/cb125k3.aspx. Figured I'd put it up. There aren't a lot of options when doing rearsets on small CBs since there's not much of a frame to bolt anything on to. This fellow pointed me in the direction of doing rearsets...
I'm digging the in light speedo but what if you want to keep your tach? I understand this is a mod thread but maybe if your a lazy bum such as myself you could get ahold of the bucket with the speedo and tach that are integrated and work something together like on the superhawks and dreams...
Can't believe no one's posting here anymore... I'm in Durham, NC, originally from Nebraska. Glad I don't need that snow shovel anymore. Anyway it'd be nice to find someone to ride with once I'm finished with my project.
So got a little problem fellas. I may be moving home to Nebraska where they have winter and even though I've only had my 125 for 4 months, don't want to part with it. Especially since I've put a lot of blood and sweat in to it and it's not done yet. I'm trying to find a shipping company who's...
It's the original Kehin carb. The fuel isn't coming from the tube, it's coming from the top of the bowl just like the new gasket isn't the right one. Maybe I'll put the old one back in and see if anything changes. It still bogs out when I hit the throttle hard too. Not sure what's causing...
So I went through my carb and replaced all the seals of which were only about 6 but after I got it all put back together, the float bowl is pissing gas. Makes no sense why that's where it's coming from. Only thing I can think of is I put the valve in upside down but still doesn't really explain...
Sorry I haven't posted any pics lately, can't seem to locate the cables for my digital and my phone's been retarded and only saves the pics when it feels like it but I do have a few new ones that I'll get up this weekend. I get more parts today!!! And I'm gonna toss the rear wheel back on too.
Got the tire. Spent about 20 minutes out in the rain pulling the rear wheel off and brought it upstairs to the apartment. Took a couple of flat screwdrivers and ripped the old one off just like changing a bicycle tire. Got out the Brillo pads and shined up the wheel and hub quick and slapped...
Man it's rainin balls here and my tire still hasn't arrived yet. Damn the suspense is killing me. Got the seafoam though. And you better believe even if it's still raining i'm changing that tire.
Actually, as a licensed inspector, I know that North Carolina law requires you to have one brake on your bike, either hand or foot operated. So as long as you've got one you're good to go, unless there's some other statute that states differently. I'd like to see any info you have on such...
My tire gets here tomorrow!!! Finally after months of being dicked around. Anyway, my plans for tomorrow are get the rear wheel polished up tomorrow and put the new tire on. Gonna give it the old seafoam treatment too just to see if I can't clear up some throttle response and bogging issues...
Re: 74 cb200 - Project "Super Confused"
Nice find. A little advice as far as cleaning up goes. I prefer engine degreaser because I'm a lazy bastard and at 2 bucks a can you can't really go wrong. As far as rusty chrome bits, if you've got a little patience, a 2 dollar box of Brillo pads goes...
You could take the tube off between the airbox and carb, but I'd make sure the carb is clean and the ignition system is all in order as well. If the bike's been sitting for a while, I'd make sure to clean the carb and change the plug and get a new battery.
My bad, I was led to believe that CS had only discontinued the C265 at this point, at least that's what the MAW rep told me. You can still readily get ahold of the front tire for CB125's since it's an 18. 2.75x18 front and 3.00x17 rear. The rear one's the tough one but like I said you can...
