    '75 RD350 Racer & Other Projects

No problem man, that does help. I needed to find a place with prefabbed cones and bends for building a new chamber for the '65 Suzuki.

    '75 RD350 Racer & Other Projects

Re: '75 RD350 Racer They really are great tires, better than the battlax's and Duro's I've used on other bikes. I needed something grippy that wouldn't slip under power, now its hard to keep the front end down with the midrange DG pipes. PVL makes a CDI ignition for the RD with Headlight and...

    '75 RD350 Racer & Other Projects

Here is my 1975 RD350. She's had a hard beginning life, but now the neglecting is over. Essentially a mild streetable race bike. -65mm wisecos, slightly ported intake and exhaust, modified heads, VM30's, DG pipes, premix modified case, big coils, Barnett clutch. -Detabbed frame with modified...

My 350's and little two strokes.

Got the seat off Ebay actually, it was supposed to be like $120 but I guess it ended up being $50. Comes with a new original style pan too. Latest stuff for the CB350. PVL ignition, bore up, head work, modify clutch basket, cleaned cases, safety wired bolts, CNC Top triple plate. Shes apart...

attaching aluminum alloy to steel... how to?

Exactly what I'd do. With such thin metal on the tank, soldering/brazing would be the way to go because it requires much less heat. I have seen people attach necks to frames with braze. Much stronger of a bond than some would think.

attaching aluminum alloy to steel... how to?

There isn't a welding process precise enough for welding aluminum besides TIG, because the actual metal melts before the oxides. Basically what I'm saying is the inside melts before the outside, making it terribly difficult to get any kind of bead or flow going. You can weld aluminum with a...

    Henning CB350 PVL Ingition Installation

I have been building a race bike for some time now, it was always being modified but never full race. I'm not that dumb fellas, I've got other 350's for daily riding. Grew up around racing my entire life, cant help but build a thoroughbred race machine now that the new class semester has...

    Henning CB350 PVL Ingition Installation

I've been waiting a long time to afford this kit, and finally received it today. Everything is very nice and mostly straightforward, but there are a few parts I do not understand what they do. There is a larger bolt, with steel block it threads into, also two black bolts and two spring spacers...

    cb350 oil pan baffle mod

Doesn't that pan help oil the crank? I bought a used AHRMA case, and that was still in it so never will I remove that. I believe its called a one way windage tray? I've had thoughts about welding in a thin piece of aluminum where that pan is, with a small drain to the trans bay. So it wont let...

battery wont hold or isnt getting a charge on 72 cl350

It could be a bad ground somewhere, but is more than likely a bad rectifier. You can buy them or make them from kits at radioshack. Or if you'd like no battery, its going to cost you about $700 for a Magneto ignition by Todd Henning, but I'd hope you'd be making a race bike ;)

Honda CB350 Aftermarket Connecting Rod Mystery.

Got the XS650 studs and a M10-1.25 Tap. They are just slightly longer than CB350 studs, but definitely usable by all means. Took all but a half hour to have the holes retapped and the studs able to thread. Now whats left is to bore out the holes in the Cylinder, Head, and Cover for them and oil...

CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (6 speed?) I've got plans to do a ~400cc bore on my 350 using a 360 six speed. I've had this idea in my head for a while and just came across this thread after asking PJ about it. I'll be ordering a complete trans/fork/drum setup and start modifying. I've got an extra...

PJ, how much to bore out in the cylinder and head where the XS studs would go through?

Honda CB350 Aftermarket Connecting Rod Mystery.

Thank you for identifying them PJ. Do you think something huge was in it judging by the 17mm Engine Studs? Any idea where we could find some studs that diameter but proper length? So far we've planned on using Henning pistons, good valve springs, new valve seats, and a Type 1 cam. Also have a...

Honda CB350 Aftermarket Connecting Rod Mystery.

Any help identifying the rods will be greatly appreciated. Its quite a nice piece, the shift forks look brand new. The CB350G (Disc Brake) is the one with the larger single gear clutch basket. The crank definitely has not been lightened, both weights are identical to original. More pictures...

Honda CB350 Aftermarket Connecting Rod Mystery.

Just found out the Studs are much larger too, a 17mm bolt fits in it, need to find engine studs too I guess. Here are some pictures, seems they took the outside bearings off, drilled out what I think is a pin holding together, then rewelded it back together. I'll have to get a picture of the...
