Got a 82 Kz440 in the shop. Got it running no problem but one side spits oil. Checked compression. Right side is 150 (where it should be) and left side is 110. Put some gear oil in the left cylinder and compression read 140. Think it's rings or could the valves etc be letting that much...

So, perhaps a stupid question. When swapping the front forks/front end what are the most important things to consider? I'm guessing the stem diameter and length but what else? Overall length of the fork from stem to axle I'm guessing to keep all the dimensions with trail etc similar to stock...
