Looks like a great project, and will look killer when finished.
Could you tell me more about what's behind the carbs? What kind of air cleaner, any better pictures?
Additionally there's a guy over on SOHC4 that last week posted a cover for the handlebar clamp with hole for ignition for those...
Hey Steeve,
I see that this is up on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CR750-Honda-Seeley-frame-SOHC-Cafe-Racer-Vintage-Race_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ10065QQihZ008QQitemZ180231333698QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Are you abandoning the project?
May need to fine tune your carbs to prevent additional bluing. Thruxtons and Triumphs run too lean in general to meet US emission standards.
Here's a good thread on blue pipes on a Thruxton.
I love the bike. Simply beautiful.
I hope you have many years of enjoyment on her.
Cheers
Check ---> 1/2 mile from the Atlantic ocean here in Maine.
My first ride of the season today. I rode the bike into work.
Still have a foot of snow in the yard... Melt dammit Melt!
Dude I'm with you!
I would take half the time to finish my projects if I could only hold of on seeing how it all "looked" together.
Ahhh well, she looks killer. And looking is quite a satisfaction when you're in the build process and can't ride her.
Great build progress. I'm loving that...
Unfortunately GIF's suck at rendering photos because they only have a 256 color pallette. You can get away with this on a single photo, expecially if it is relatively monochromatic, but with multiple photos it can make them look lame.
Here's a link to a SimpleMachines page which provides...
Hey Gordon,
That does sound good. Do you know how to write the Settimeout method?
We can do something like this, but we'll need a more robust settimeout.
From http://www.tutorial5.com/content/view/49/37/
<script type="text/javascript">
var c=0
var s
function photoGallery()
{
if (c%5==0){...
Hey Gordon.
I do know what you mean. It's nice to chat with a fellow flasher ;)
I guess I could write up some action script that would pick photos out of a folder to display. I haven't done that before and it would be a little tricky both from an action script perspective and a photo...
Hmmmm I wonder if you like the first couple o shots ;)
Dude, you definately have an eye for images. Find me 8-10 that scale nicely at 900 X 115 and I'll whip up a new version....
That goes for any one else, if you post your "cool shots" here and they are more than 900 pixels wide I'll get...
What about a flash based rotating banner?
I just whipped up this lil something with a few quickly found images.......... Could certainly be better with better selected images and a little more time

I also have a 78 cb750F which is torn down to cafe. That thingy is like a re-breather. There were quite a few posts about it on the SOHC4 forum.
I decided to leave mine, as I'm sticking with the stock airbox and my bike is really dialed in performance wise. If you're going with pods, you...
Compared to prices here in Maine, it looks like a good deal on powder coating.
Put it this way, I had an estimate that ran +200 of yours from the only reputable one around.
I hope that makes you feel a little better. After all, this is project checkbook isn't it? ;)
Dibs Dibs Dibs!!! If he's willing to ship it to me. I have an email in to him.
That would simply look badass on my 750F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want it!
I agree with Loco, the dunstall fairing is way cool but looks big even on the 750's.
Just my opinion. If it can be had for not much more than the current asking price, its a safe purchase though.
That's a steal for one of these original survivor fairings.
If it doesn't work out, you can...
