Where to get bearings for neck? CB450... Are they really that difficult?

my gearhead friend who works at a local bike shop told me to toss the bearings and replace them as the stock bearings wouldn't pass safety these days. I don't really mind dumping $60 for a new set anyhow, but I am wondering if you guys were able to get the stock bearings safetied/

    snapped off a tappet cover...

the engine is sitting on the floor of my apartment so that isn't the issue, I just don't know if you have to replace the gasket when you pop the cover off, both manuals I have don't say anything about it at all. I will have to skim through the soc4 forums, thanks for the suggestion.

it was $10 off at crappy tire, cost $100. the support bars are a little narrow and spaced a bit too far apart, but my god, it is making my life easier. I didn't get as far as I wanted tonight before I ran out of steam, so she spends another night in the hallway. <img...
