Is that the one out of Columbus? Nice score!!! Thought about picking that one up but I already have too many projects :) Stay in touch! Not enough of us around here in this part of the country. 8)
Really depends on your state. Not sure why you wouldn't run one though. Would make for an interesting pucker clinching effect when you get a cop behind you.....hmmmm...I wonder how fast I'm going? ;D
I can tell you I wouldn't have had that much patience and wait that long.....if you have the shipping receipts and emails, might not be a bad idea to contact the local law enforcement...or bike club ;)
Where is that shop at?
Very nice Fab work. Cool Idea and all but... I have to agree. That thing is suicide. Between MUCH more power and weight, bigger tires, aka traction, that frame is going to twist like a straw. It will be a nice cruise around but I wouldn't want to be near that thing when you come out of a corner...
If I could find one of those somewhat local, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat....the very first bike I got to ride as a little shit a long time ago ;D
Great Find!!!!
I would think that with a bike that custom (love it btw) "universal" is no longer an option. I would take some measurements, go to a salvage yard and look for a tank that you like and that would fit on your bike and find a way to mount it. A friend with a welder can work wonders ;)
Just came across this Forum and figured I'd stop by and say Hi! 8)
Picked up a '73 CB500 last week that is getting ready to go under the knife and receive the Cafe treatment. Had planned to build one of these for a while now and the right bike finally came along.
Anyone in the area, hit me up...
