360 swiftly

sorry dude. been watching this for a while and just realised I haven't commented. Very rude of me.

anyway. Love what you're doing to this bike, and she's lookin' mighty fine.

I'd ride it ;)

cheers
ian

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

So CT only has one type of vintage plate which is the "Early American" motorcycle plate. I didn't really think that fit so I decided to do this.

Are you guys allowed to do that to your plates? If we did that over here the cops would tear us a new arsehole ;)

I like it tho'

Got the back of the seat done the seam cleans up real nice when there is some tension on it.

It's going to be the sickest part of the bike!

Wow! Love the quality and hard work you're putting into this. I just hope i can match it in my 450. Keep it up!ß

Congrats on getting it running! The stitching on the seat is sweet and the little license plate mod fits the bike perfectly.

I have been working to tie up some of the loose ends before I take her on the road. I mounted the bracket for gauges (stock one upside down) and adapted the bracket for mounting the taillight and plate. Also added a neutral light to the headlight bucket. Only a few things holding me back now. I still have to mess with the carbs and the timing. The bike runs pretty good but is doing some weird stuff once it heats up at idle. Its not quite a backfire but more like a cough??? I will double check all the usual suspects once everything is back together.

looking great man!!

question, what kind of tail light setup/license plate do you have? I was looking for something similar to that.

Mine has this "cough" as well. I suspect it has to do with the pods. I think i'll go up in pilot jet to a 70 or 72. See what that does. Keep me posted if you get yours fixed.

I second mothgils question. where did you get that set up? looks awesome. can’t wait for more pics

Jay

I bought the taillight / bracket assembly from ebay (sportingforless) I recently tried to order another one because I broke the lens on the first one. Sporting for less no longer carries the light and bracket, but I was a able to find just the light on ebay from another seller. The light is a replica (with LEDs) of the lucas style lights found on the 60's brit bikes.

do you have any better pics of the setup and how you mounted it? my frame is similar to yours and I would love to see how it is setup

I welded tabs on the inside of the hoop and used some spacers to get the light in the right spot.
