Thanks guys. I got a little semi when I picked the wheels up from having the tires mounted today. I'm focusing on the tins over the next few days. I need to get the motor built too. lots to do.

Maritime - any time brother! We've got a good crew here and would love to have you hang with us a bit. I'm working on a mods vs rockers meet here at the end of July too so keep that in mind.

Just don;t make it the weekend of the 30th cause I won't be able to make it. Stupid U2 concert and a whole mess of family and friends is descending on our place to see it. Don't really are if I missed the concert but some of the people are coming from as far away as Scotland and Bermuda so I don't want to bail on them.

I believe that's the 3.5" headlight from DCC.

Interested to see how you do your wiring.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Fortunately the 360 doesn't have all the wiring meet in the headlight bucket like many of the Hondas. A lot of it is harnessed under the tank, so I'm thinking I should be able to get the rest of it under there as well. that will be coming up soon.

I got the body work done on the tank and I got the rear end together today. Was working on the front end as well and realized I neglected to go through the caliper so that has got to be done.

Man your build is looking fantastic. Love those tires, I am planning on getting them for my bike. Glad I got to see what the look like. SICK! Also, love the exhaust system you made. Especially the 2-1 with a shorty reverse megaphone. Looks super clean. Keep up the good work.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

Thanks!!

Hey, I'm going in to make the seat on Wednesday so over the weekend I did some searching for seat materials. I had something in mind but I found this at a great discount fabric place here in the area,

They had all these leather scraps in a bin for $8.00 per pound! I bought enough material to make about 5 seats for $15. And They have whole hides made for auto upholstery for $75! I'll be going back.

The colors in the mottled piece match my color scheme really well and this seat is going to set the whole thing off and give it a truly "one off" feel! I hope.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

cool, I am going there when I come to Portland.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

Okay, a bunch of stuff going on here. I got my seat cover made and I mounted it on the pan but I'm not too happy with the result thus far. looks like a pillow. I think its just a matter of reconfiguring the foam inside so that the panels lay flatter. I think I just overstuffed and over stretched it a bit.

I am pleased with the look of the leather two tone. looks kind of like tortoise shell.

Started getting the front end together. What a can of worms. 360 hub on 500 front end so spacers needed to take up the difference. I measured for those and my buddy Charlie is going to make them at work. the other problem is the 360 rotor is smaller than the 500 rotor so the arm that holds the caliper, though exactly the same size is 8mm too high. this leaves the caliper to high on the rotor so that you are not using all the rotor face. Charlie is going to try to fab a new arm for me. He doesn't have a cnc at work but can come up with something I'm sure.

Also started to get a feel for the look of the handle bars. I had ordered a universal switch from DCC. not sure if I'm going to use it though, looks a little chincey. I like the grips I got from Battlescooter.com Though!!

Lastly trying to work out the front fender. I see a lot of these without them but I would really like to run the fender. the bracket rubs the tire as is. Once I get the spacers in I may be able to work that so that it doesn't but I kind of wanted to run it up high.

I like the look. I would be sacrificing the stabilizing the bracket gives but honestly with these tires no one is going to be diving into any corners so I'm thinking I could get away with out it. ??

I love those tires! You'll have to let us know how they work out.

Will do! I can't wait to ride this thing. still a little snow on the ground yet but we had a nice warm day two days ago and the juices are flowing.

I got the seat upholstery looking MUCH better and I'm pretty pleased with it. pics later of that.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

I have those same tires mounted up and ready to go on my next project bike! I a looking forward to your riding review!

Really liking the direction this is going.

Is the fabric store you are talking about out on 122nd?

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

Got the seat pretty much worked out and it looks way better. I took a bunch of foam out and tapered it a bit. It still needs a little tweaking but I think it suits the lines really well!!

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

So you getting footage of this build fro the webcast. It will be nice to see. Looking good, The seat is better with the taper and maybe doing some stiching on the top would be even better.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. Wheels built.

I went back and forth on stitching the top. I'm going to wait til the bikes done before I make a final decision on that though. I'm really liking the look and feel of it right now.

The fender is the stock 360 fender chopped to within an inch of its life. I got the front fender sorted as well no pics though.

I actually have not been filming this build. In order to do it right you need a camera guy and a sound guy as well as lighting all of which costs $$ so I'm waiting to see if I can get some funding behind it first. John, the other dude in the clip has a triumph 500 that we may use as the first victim! Otherwise I got plenty of projects in waiting.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

I like it seat looks much better 2nd round... what you going to do about the end of the tank there by the nuts

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

Good question; tank mount is the rubber slip fit kind and its in good shape so I'm going to clean it, armor all it, and rock it!

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

Looking great Scott. Also, dont use armor all, it actually dries rubber pieces out after awhile.

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

Cool, good tip.

I was looking at those too... I'll be watching

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

Looking great! This is definitely the direction I want to take with my cb350 project!

Btw just a quick observation from me, but isnt the front tire in the wrong direction?

Re: 74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Coming back together. seat done and fenders chopped!

Observant, It is mounted backwards. they are universal tires meaning there isn't a front and rear. so in this case the rear is mounted according to the directional arrow on the tire and the front is mounted in reverse. something about how they track. I checked with Shinko on this before I mounted them.
