74 and 75 CB360 tracker - Need to get some pics done of this.

I'll have to get some pics of everything tomorrow but alot is getting done. I got the body work all set and hung everything for primer and the wire holding the tank let go and BAM! nice little ding in the rear corner on the top. FUCK. took about 4 hours of banging and filling and sanding to get it ironed out. finally got everything in primer and wet sanded today. I also got the front end sorted with some spacers and a new caliper arm that a friend made for me to adjust for the smaller diameter rotor on the larger front end. should work great!
I will get picks up tomorrow.

Got the paint done and into clear today. I'm pretty happy with it. still needs to be cut and buffed and I planning a pinstripe along the line where the two colors meet, but very subtle, flat black. Once I get the gas cap back on I'll decide if I want to add any other graphic elements to the scheme. Front fender is omitted here as it got effed up and will need some re-touching. Color in these pics is weird, actual color is something between the dark and light pictures you see here.
I've got a couple more but Photobucket is being a bitch right now.

Thanks guys! I'm pleased with the paint scheme. There are a couple of issues with the body work though. (my fault) probably gonna be a do over.
I don't have a ton of experience with bodywork and some things have shown up that were not caught. I can't even catch them with the camera to share but this needs to be perfect so I'll have at it again. (I have another tank) What I am happy with is the paint application. If you are scrapping that paint, I feel terrible. My paint/body work never comes out half that good, man.

Yessir, Motofiaccone is right on. Wet sand it out. Personally, I wet sand everything no matter how good it turned out. Wetsanding removes all of the orange peel and makes it look like glass once it is buffed. - Stout

be sure you use a block on that ridge, do not do it by free hand.. take 2000 grit, soak it in about 5 cups of water and 3 or 4 drops of dish soap... light hands... you can always take more off you can not put more on... a simple trick is to use a foam spunge and wrap the 2000 grit around that...
keep moving in 1 direction, do not do circles and crap like that... just back and forth... do the whole tank man... after you are done wash with some soapy water to remove any left over crap. done wipe it all off... i like to use turtle wax buffing compound and go to town... buff the heck out of that sucker, remove it all with micro fiber... then your done... wait about 3 or 4 weeks before you wax it... some people say 6 months but that depends on what kind of paint your using as chris pointed out... PPG you are good after 4 weeks, rattle can about 6... and sherman williams i always wait 6 months it is picky clear and tends to gas out as it settles

Chris- using ppg shopline stuff. I did clear it and then wet sand it. worked out great. I bought a little 3" buffer with the foam pads and I tried it out on my R5 tank and it works great with the buffing compounds! I'll do a little video of it when I get to this. The buffer was recommended by a guy who does a lot of paint work and is perfect for small parts like bike tanks etc.!

Sucks to do it again, but the more you do it the better, faster easier it will get. I have done my tank 3 times and the 3rd job is the best so far, but there are still spots on my body work that show through, at least I can see them. I like the color scheme you chose and hope the next time it comes out perfect.
