Got the shifter side installed... The brake side is not going to be any where near as easy... I think it'll be faster if I just bite the bullet and drop the swing arm. It's a very tight space to work on that inside lever.
Thats slick dude. your kickstand clears ok, or are you gonna have to move it forward on frame tube?
I think its gonna be round 60+ degrees over thanksgiving.
Also, next sunny day...push her out and get a good clear close up pic of the black paint on your tank/fender...I dont think anyone has gotten a chance to really appreciate that yet.
This is seriously one sexy bike... Just spent the evening reading the entire thread.... Man it makes me feel like what I'm about to get myself into is such a daunting task. Honestly though, your 360 is one of my favorites that i have seen and read about on this site.
I got the brake side installed today, and got to go around the block. Bike is not running quite right, not a lot of power... but I'll get that sorted out. But the rear sets are going to work out well I think...
Eric, here are some close up shots of the paint... it's really hard to catch the sparkle of the pearl in a pic a video might be better.
It uses the original pivot and linkage via and inner and outer lever... the rear set manipulates that rather than the brake directly... this is the part that was worth the wait.
So, I've got it running pretty decent now... and I actually rode it to work today. I still have a punch list of things that need to be done. I hope to get that stuff taken care of over the Thanksgiving holiday and get some proper photographs and call her done. Needs a name though... not sure what.
Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (First ride to work on it.)
hell of a build man. I'm anticipating a 360 build and have read through your project! Looks great & I can't wait to get started on mine hopefully this coming week.. anticipating one of several parts orders to come I'm sure
Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (First ride to work on it.)
Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm still shaking out the final bits. I didn't get to work on it over the holiday as much as i had hoped to, but I had a pretty productive day today... I was having an intermittent ignition issue... I ditched a couple of connectors and replaced them solder joints... seems to have taken care of that. I've been eating through my little battery while testing and stuff... I added a pigtail connector so that I could hook up my trickle charger without removing the seat.
My digital Speedometer / Tachometer isn't working as it should... I've got a message sent off to Koso to see if they've got anything for me. Everything seems to be in spec installation wise, but the tach just kinda jumps around and the speedometer doesn't seem to be picking up the pulse from the magnets.
Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (First ride to work on it.)
Okay, I got the speedometer and tach working over lunch, it's running well, looking good... I'm going to call it done. (As done as these things can be) Here are some better walk around photos.
