Can you tell me where you sourced that taillight from? I am using a glass from the past tail piece that has a very similar appearance to yours from the back end and cannot seem to find a light that will fit. Yours would do the trick and was wondering where you got it? Thanks.
Hey man killer ride. I have a 75 CB550f SS, never owned a bike before definitely thought building one from scratch would make the ride that much more. I cant wait to read and check out all you have thrown in this bike. Inspired me to see how clean I can get mine. Keep easy.

I'm totally new to building bikes and I'm finally picking up a super cheap CB 650 this weekend to start building over the winter. Let me just say..
Ringo, I've been looking at different cafe bikes for styles and inspiration.. and sh*t, yours is IT!.. I always have some detail that I think to myself either "yea, I like what he's thinking there" or "nah thats terrible I would do THIS with it" I'm on page 30, reading every word. Man, Thank you. Thats it, thank you...
I was expecting to have to look through so many builds for individual things and pieces to get to what I wanted, and you literally did them all EXACTLY the way I would've done it. If you don't mind I think a lot of ideas on my project are going to be closely related to yours (unless I make them better ). And if you're ever on the east coast near VA or I end up out there (I plan on doing a cross country bike trip with my gf in the near future), maybe I can buy you a beer for making this kick as build!

Hey thanks guys. Apologies for not getting back sooner; I'm always strapped for time during the summer.
sbaugz- The tail light came from Custom Dynamics. They make a whole ton of LED lights that are plug and play. Good people.

vwfye- Yeah, I'm in the Roseburg (Steamboat to be specific) area until late October or so. If you've got a runner, we ought to do some riding. Hit me up!
schaubster- I'll probably be passing through Seattle (and Portland, Spokane etc for anyone else on my route) in a month or two with the bike on my way back to Montana. PM me your contact info, and when I know an exact date, I'll let you know.

Too bad your not sticking around Oregon til next summer, Ringo. There is a huge gathering of vintage and cafe bikes on Vashon Island here in Western WA annually. It would be cool to see the bike in person and cruise with ya around the island.
