Another kick at a rebuild

Must have taken you like 20 hours to record and put that clip together. Nice!

Thanks brother. Yeah, it's about four days of three hour recordings stitched together. I used a 20D shot at around 5 - 10 second intervals. Batch edit in CS5. Just experimenting with time lapse. I'll be using this technique for the documentary next month. You should pop down this august.

I would like to go but think I will be attending the AMA races in NJ around that time with friends. Can only really afford to do one trip this season. Looking forward to the documentary though!

You're gonna ride that think to Utah? That's ambitious indeed. I look forward to the final video. Is Paul riding with you?

Ha! Hell no. the bike would make the trip, but my body sure as hell wouldn't. No, this bike it's being brought down via trailer and then out on the flats to see what it will do. I'm the film guy. I'll be recording what goes on en route. Itll be worth the watch I suspect. Great to see you around. You also should come if you can find the time Chris.

Well. Made it back home in one piece. I wish I could say the same about the bike. Had a bit of a mishap just outside of Fernie doing 120 behind a bunch of Hells Angels. I couldn't be more embarrassed. I was hanging back from their group, didn't want to be disrespectful (good way to get your arse kicked) and the rear brake assembly blew apart. I think it happened right after a rough stretch of road. Anyway. Trip was a success and I even managed to meet up with Hoofhearted.

Here's a quick trailer for the documentary I'm putting together.

Cheers friends.

btw. nope, not a Tonner.. have to go back and try again.

SIMPLY AWESOME!!! what did the XJ run? i had one years ago and loved that bike was smoking fast for an 82

Thx. Yeah, It was all a blast and a half. The XJ ran 121 mph. After the mishap outside Fernie B.C. I rode his XJ the rest of the way. Fun bike with lots of stink. Have to start from scratch on the cafe. Ah well. Project bikes are never really finished are they.

Thanks pal. All by EMGO. The lights are single wire so I had to run a resistor to make them work as both a marker light and turn signal. I'm stripping these all off and rebuilding the bike for a retake on Bonneville in 2013. Adding a fairing (bought from Hoofhearted), having the ports eventually polished by Swagger and his wicked skills. Looking for a good set of Mikuni V30s, changing the steering to include a steering dampener to make the officials happy. and generally making the bike as un-street legal as possible. I REALLY want to get over 100 mph on this bike.

Enjoy the tailings of summer my friend.

I make things go VROOM!
