Fuckin' love it man. That tank has such a cool vibe to it. Imagine the Whizzer resto guys seeing this one! Ha ha ha
Im really torn on the bars. I love the FUs, and the drags, but IMO the drags are a bit wide. Especially with the tiny Whizzer tank. Fow what its worth, I say stick with the high bars.
Thanks Katicoy. I'm so torn between bars. I honestly can't decide on bars. Plans on the tank are to do two brass valves out back going into the glass filters. That along with the brass wingnuts will be calling for a color change I think. And you are right a two tone paint job might send it back a few years. Swapmeet Louie's frame color has me thinking back to the days of oil rubbed bronze with antique brass inlay. Might be a spoiler alert, who knows...
Stick I really appreciate the kind words. Glad you like her
BB: I think the drag bars look waaaay to wide now so they will get narrowed for when I'm rockin them. But between the two the Fus feel full on attitude when sitting on her. I think once the paint is on the tank it will help me decide on which bars. On the electronics I'm thinking of maybe something like whats on the Falcon bike mounted under the seat. I think Justinlonghorn got something silmular. As far as the snow goes you might want to watch what you wish for. The weather in the US is wacky right now and parts of the south east are about to get pounded with snow. The way it is right now you never know what you might get.
Glad you like fellas but you guys type too fast haha.
I agree about the width curbcast. Amazing how wide the tank makes them look. The will get cut down. I've even considered clipons??
Lockard the true reason for the mixmatch is due to swapping the bars. I did have old white schwinn grips on the FUs. But I almost have to agree. The FUs have a real attitude and the grips are kind of like a big ol middle finger to the status quo kind of like the bars do. Who knows what will end up on there. Figure the tank color will probably dictate.
Hey von you know there are some pretty hardcore Whizzer guys out there. I found that out searching for the tank. I can only imagine their thoughts once they see some brass valves sticking out the back haha.
But we gotta do what we gotta do.. ;D
are those vlaves the "triumph" valves I've read about?
Its funny how the FUs also look to have some width to them now too. They really are very skinny. don't know if anyone noticed but turned the headlight ears over and lowered the headlight. I think it looks much better that way. I'm thinking about loosing the "fat" ears so the front end has a skinner look. Dont know yet
IDK guys, I love how the low bars harken back to BTC mk 1.5 with the 200 tank. The problem in my mind is the new setup would look akward with Troy laying on the tank. The vintage feel might get lost with you draped on the tank. Maybe some supa's or something more vintage from around the turn of the century? More board track, or like a Curtiss or something?
Yeah clip ones would really put me down on the bike. The seat is really back there. Would be a very racy feel. Not sure on that yet. Glad you mentioned the tank. I'm really wondering what everyone thinks of it. Its way different than the Hodaka tank. I think the Hodaka held about 3.3 gals maybe and this holds about 1.5 gals. It is very small but I never ride her very far at a clip anyhow. If I wanted to do a big trip I'd just toss on the Hodaka tank and go.

You know Cresent I agree but for somereason I think the tank helps take me back to those days too. Kinda strange because the tanks are so different. Maybe the old BTC tank was a little more streamlined and vintage looking and so is this one?? don't know but I really like this tank.
You know we've been down this road before on the bars. I really could go with the FUs or drag bars as far as looks go without me on it. I've road it with the drags but I don't think I've really seen how i look going down the road. Not that it really matters too much but I don't want to look like and ape humping a chihuahua.
I think you have a pretty good point Cresent, maybe time to do a couple of rider position photos to get an idea of how I look on it with the drag bars??
Yeah man I think I'll toss the drags back on and jump on the bike for some pics. appreciate the props my friend. I spent a ton of time on some of the smallest details and you really dont notice until you look close. I'm really glad you fellas appreciate her.
The tank is badass. Period, end of story, shut the book, HOT. The paint would help tie it in with the fu's, but as is or solid color the shape is better with a low racy look IMO. Bike Exif had a bike that reminds me of your current setup. I need to find that bike.
WTF...? I just clicked "new" posts and it took me to the very 1st post? And I realized I hadn't ever seen yer bike after the metamorphosis... I'm outta the loop apparently!
