Re: The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

Ordered new gaskets and crank seals for both Bultaco Montadero's from Lynn Mobley at bultacoparts.com. He has the dealers part fiche in English for the Bandido and Montadero available for purchase. Love this guy he is old school and likes to visit on the phone (mornings) and has great stories!

Re: The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

Big plug for Lynn Mobley @ bultacoparts.com ordered Monday parts arrived Wednesday. Lynn sold me a Bandido/Montadero dealers parts manual and was very surprised and glad that we purchased it. We have the Spanish one off the internet and it is not nearly as detailed as this one.

Re: The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

What is this spring that the green wire is hooked to? Interesting that both the green and yellow wire go to ground

Re: The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

You have the wrong coil.
That's an earlier points system not CDI/'Femsatronic
You need an AC ignition coil (I don't remember what the difference is but there is a difference)
Should have one of the two generator coils connected to points and condenser, wire out to ignition coil.
Other side of coil grounds (It's a rising field coil not more common collapsing field)
One wire is for lighting, grounds through bulbs (AC 'load balanced')
One wire will be grounded (could also be two wires to coil and collapsing field?)
Picture of correct wiring diagram would make things obvious

Ah, showing diagram for Femsatronic and video for points ;D
Either way, you should have charge and trigger wires going to electronic ignition coil (+ & + ) and single wire to points coil

Don't pay attention to that red wire it was wired to the black by the previous owner. So does that yellow need to go to ground also?

Now it will spark for about 10 kicks and then stop and then start firing again?
