Ah it actually is a smaller front wheel size on the bike than the rear, I think the photo just makes it look that way. I didn't want to run the same sized tryes front and back cause I thought it looks a little weird!KICKRacing said:Nice! not to nit pick but down the road I would consider replacing the front tire with 1 size smaller in front.
It would be a handling upgrade, also I think it would look better with a 1 size smaller front. Right now both are the same but due to the wider rear rim the front is actually a little bigger looking!
I've only just really had it idling and ridden it around the back yard a bit. Because of the size of the aftermarket pipes I need to modify the gear selector because I can't select down at all as it hits the pipe. Yeah I'm not too sure how I'm going to go tuning the carbs, as they're aftermarket units, but ill set the timing in myself properly in the next few weeks. I'm unsure about the front guard, I wanted some kind of fork brace but I'm really not sure how to run with it. I night cut the standard front guard down and reuse it...Bootsey said:Looking sharp!
Have you had it running much? Wondering if you're going to have much to do tuning wise since changing the air intake & exhaust.
Have you got a fender or fork brace to fit up front?
Oh nice! It's been fun but it's also been a headache at the same time. What plans do you have for yours?Mentalpopcorn said:Hi RBass, enjoying the project. I'm in Melbourne also and starting a CB350 build. Looking forward to more updates.

No idea at all, only found out about a week ago that they were changing the laws. I really don't know what I'm going to do. I mean the whole thing has been fully rebuilt, but it'll be too loud and no guards ect...pn2501 said:Nice project.
Got any idea's who your going to get the RWC through, i'm going to be in the same boat.
i wasn't being a dick i was just stating the facts, true i don't like bikes that are poorly built in the performance dept and that was my point you really have a lot less machine than a stockerrbass87 said:You know, if you like it you can just say it's nice, if you dont like it then just don't say anything at all. No need to be a dick about it. Whatever I have to do for rwc will be getting done, im currently getting advice as to what it needs to comply, as it will, so no need to worry. As for the guards and mirrors I have them just havnt put them on yet. I agree with the comment above, its a shame that some people really do ruin it for others, for that reason you nearly can't do anything here in Australia anymore
Saying that I've failed and I've got 3 strikes doesn't sound a bit patronising? My bike hasn't been poorly built, it's brand new from the ground up. true maybe I'd do things differently next time as this is my first ever build of a bike, but it's been great fun, I'm proud of what I've achieved and had a heap of fun along the way. Once again, if you don't like it, then don't commentxb33bsa said:i wasn't being a dick i was just stating the facts, true i don't like bikes that are poorly built in the performance dept and that was my point you really have a lot less machine than a stocker

when you ride poorly built outright dangerosly modified bikes like yours, but complain about draconian regs ? you are part of the problem dood ,people getting hurt on shit that is a hazard on the rode is why the laws get scribbled out, aint it ?rbass87 said:Saying that I've failed and I've got 3 strikes doesn't sound a bit patronising? Nahh Victoria isn't so bad, they are generally pretty good for bikes, like having rec rego for dirt bikes so motocross bikes can get some sort of rego to be allowed to ride in the bush, and recently changed laws regarding the rear fender set ups. So they are generally pretty good around here. Nah everyone love a beer don't worry about that! I haven't seen any redback for sale for quite some time, but who knows, it could be out there. The bottle shops are flooded with so many different beers these days, it's a tough world to live in!teazer said:Could be worse, could live in QLD.... Are things as bad up there as I read? Seems that just riding a bike is close to illegal up there as a result of bike gangs and an over reacting government. VIC has always been more mellow I think. Anywhere that sells VB can't be all bad now can it?
Hey, while I'm thinking about it, is Red Back beer still available. I haven't seen it on my last few trips home.
