Minor work today, I swear the little things take the longest. Exhaust arrives tomorrow along with the final electronic components, so with a little luck I'll be posting her first startup in a couple weeks. Rolled her outside for the first time for a few pictures.

Really great work. And yes, for some reason the little shit takes forever. That is one small headlight! Or does it just look that way since it's far forward?

Its small for sure, this is the second one I've bought online and I don't know if I'm 100% comfortable with it. I want a CEV style bullet shaped bucket, original idea was one from a BMW r75/5 or the like. I didn't want to spend 200 on a rusty POS so I've been trying anything else I can get my hands on.

I've got that same Benjies seat and tank for my 450. I've had them for about 3 years now, but my project has sat since. His quality is terrible so good to know I'm not the only one who paid a lot of money for crap. Anyway, can you give me any info about the rear shocks. They look like Hagon's, can you tell me what length you bought? I am curious about having clearance issues with the rear loop.

Thanks

I had the same worry about clearance, for now those are the crap 13" shocks that came with the bike when I bought it. I just ordered a 14" set from DCC with 'heavy duty' springs so they should be here any day, my thinking was even if the ride is harsh I won't bottom out, hopefully they work

Before and after new suspension install. Went with 14" progressive 12 series shocks, and heavy duty springs which puts them one inch longer than stock. Did a quick test after i installed them where I hopped up and landed on the bike to check the spring rate. On the softest setting theres still over an inch of clearance to the tire. I am a happy man tonight.

Hi there. I love what you have done with the CB450. I've been a long time lurker and am in the process of a CB450 build myself. I too have ran into quality issues with the a BCR steel tank and seat combo.

I had a couple of questions. Did you have a list of all the bolts, nuts, etc that you ordered from bolt depot.com for the bike? Could you show some photos of how you installed the rear fender since it was shortened?

Thanks!
