haha! My best welds were my practice welds! Couldn't replicate them on the bike, nothing the grinder didn't fix!

Looking forward to hearing it.

shot a bit of paint onto my rear stand lifts the backend up just sweet :D so re-checked valve clearances, plugs and re-sync'd the carbs used the strobe to get timing spot on :p feel happy enough she's running sweet ;D , had to mess with the clutch a bit to get it just right but got her running thru gears up n down so ready for a couple of street runs to check handling before I fit the fairing ,incase I need to fiddle with the motor then its final piccy time   rear brake needed a little tweaking not enough stopping power tho don't really use rear brake much ??? got some video of her running in the shop but it won't post anybody got idea

Well got a decent day at last to test her on the street put tank on, agh  leaking from fuel tap so had to swap it out lot of messing about emptying tank etc finally sorted that then just had a little run up in yard and ended up snapping clutch cable (it had pulled thru were i'de soldered it ) :-[ so another mess about, gonna be dark before I run it ha. Got a few pics as this is the first time she been rolled out in daylight just a couple of runs up the street and back sounds great , pulls well brakes not bad for drum brakes not as smooth thru gears so decided to run a little further still awkward changing gear so pulled in back home seems all the heavy changing has cracked the weld on my footrest agh :-[ so back in the shop for a re-think came up with a bolt on footrest idea so when the good weather returns as its all rain & snow at the moment ile give it another shot heres a couple of pics just before I went out just to show its still a project haha ;)

Thought the ignition between the tank and cut out in front of seat was a good idea ::) but it aint practical in the real world :-[ so ive moved it to the side of dummy tank extension that houses the electrics lot easier to use  also used maritime's idea of the cut off tach cable connector to plug the drive inlet ;)

The bike looks incredible mate, great job. Still eagerly awaiting that running video you mentioned.. ;)

Looks a stunner Yorkie.... Just a thought. You mentioned that the gear change is heavy, could it be the rearset linkage being a bit too tight?

Cheers mates yeah could have been , I've stripped it down to repair the rearset frame connection so will make sure its got more play. Taken a couple of videos but still can't get them to upload been trying thru gallery but its still saying "not a valid picture file " & "the following extension is not allowed for the gallery bmp" whatever that means the tec guys said to try post it that way waiting for them to get back to me ?

The only way I can get videos to load is to upload on youtube first, and copy, and paste the link.

Wow looks great yorkie you will have to let me no when your going to squires on her so I can see her in the flesh .mint

Will do yozz thought she was all done shame the test run wasn't as positive as I thought few bits to mess with nearly there tho .Been to squires on the 350 and me daily ride too the 350 still the most fun :p

SO ! lot a water passed under the bridge since I last posted so many home duties n maintenance got in the way plus a little holiday in the sun, didn't think ide ever get done but at last the ole girl is complete yeah taken exactly 2 years to the day haha finally got all those little issues we get sorted . I made a front sprocket cover just to save the crap flying off the chain, found the ride position is crap definitely not a mile cruncher unless your the size of a jockey , still a little off in lower revs but crack the throttle and you gotta hang on after all its gonna have it pinned round the isle of man in classic bike practice week (just for beer n giggles haha) and she sounds awesome as the guys at the M.O.T. station found out, got a day time mot so no lights or indicators although left a stop n tail on so hopefully I don't get shunted up the arse anyways just gotta say thanks for the support thru this what seems to have been a mega build guess replicas are not for the faint hearted ( don't think ile do another replica ) just do my own thing, the cost was greater went thru all invoices total spend was £3,300 including £800 for the bike sold a lot of parts and made back £600 from that still have a few bits to sell so the cost of this build was £2,700 you do the math for $$ conversion but its a fair bit so heres a bunch of pics to show what she ended up like wife got some video to hear the ole girl will post that when we get sorted once again guys cheers for ya imput n support will get some good pics n footage of the classic isle of man lets hope for good weather and lets all ride safe and heres to the next project yeah !

Cheers yozz you watch it will piss it down for the rest of the summer now haha, lookin forward to opening her up on the A1 on me way to Sherburn, got the ferry booked for the isle of man too, finally pulled me finger out hows your's doing mate getting some miles on her I hope, will give ya the heads up when I go over to squires, guess ime gonna have to think about another project now, not sure what the missus will say ? hmmm

Still not got mine done yet got her running but I'm still working on wiring .and lots of little bits to do

Well guys been putting a few finishing touches to the old girl and putting some miles on her. Went to the local bike meet last weekend great ride there pulls great and sounds sweet still to get some footage of her goin thru the motions . Coming back she started playing up after about 16 miles she gave up the ghost at some lights, thought it might be fuel so pushed her to a gas station took a while to get there filled up started back up yeah but only died 500mtrs up the road this happened three more times before I finally got home ( had to push her the last half mile agh so ime thinking she was either overheating / fuel blockage in carbs or its de-tuned itself so fairing off and back to problem solving hope it aint gonna be too complicated heres a couple of pics while I enjoyed the bike meet.
