yeah that's what I meant when I was talking about the support I just wasn't clear what I was supporting or where, my old pan had a tab at the rear maybe ill do that because I need to mount a plate holder and tail light still too

Will you be building this SR500 for yourself or your girl ?

If your coming down to hit up Shore Fresh (I assume), there's a Harbor Freight about 10 mins away in Brick. Kill 2 birds with one stone. Also, Jamis Upholstery in Point Pleasant is a very good, old school shop. We've used them at work for a number of vehicles on numerous occasions.

awesome! I was just in PT yesterday at 21st amendment. thanks for the upholstery suggestion I will probably get in touch with them today. I usually go to harbor freight in Eatontown its a straight shot down 18 from me in freehold area.

Sweet. Cross bracing will definitely keep from falling through the cracks and I'm sure a nice thick layer of padding will keep it from exploding under weight

Got in touch with someone who does upholstery, he is trying to convince me to use vinyl... Pros/cons/opinions wanted!

No worries about ruining vinyl if it gets wet
Leather is sweet and require care + costs way more than vinyl

I just asked the guy the difference in prices for the two materials. Hopefully he replies tonight go bend some metal!

Shocks came in 13" hagons, gotta get some grease so I can fit em tight fit!

I tried my weight on the seat pan, it needs to be thicker I didn't like the creaks it was making at all hahaha

I got a 9v but no fuse

Heading to my ma's house so I can do my forks partially

New hammer, helping hands with magnifying glass for soldering, grease, face shield. Got the day off tomorrow so probably put the carb together with all new gaskets, and o rings. It's been sitting in berrymans for a couple weeks. Probably test out the wiring.

Good progress...lots of jobs...lots of stuff and lots to do still....kinda like where I am at the moment. Looking forward to actually bolting stuff on for the last time.

Carry on.... :)

Carb carb carb! Anyone know where to get the little plastic nub things that hold the floats on their post?!

Current settings on last pic slide cut away is 2.5...

The float retainers are old and I can't get them on the posts

Float height has to be 17-19 I think it's at 10-12 right now

don't worry I used a mixture of sand and grease and lubed every passage possible right after I took all the pics! ;D :p

it was running rich and hard to start before I tore it apart and I don't have any test riding in the near future so I want to get this thing squared away.
