New Jersey sr500 tracker/scrambler

you should always periodikally boil the chain in a 90 weight and vasaline slurry after cleaning
hang while hot to let most of that shit slide off

Why the hell are we talking about tensioners and chain guides? This is a street bike with boots. There is no need for any of it. It's at least 100lbs overweight and doesn't have nearly the suspension of a dirt bike.. Go by the manual for chain slack and be done with it. 2.5" or whatever is ridiculous.

That's pretty spot on explanation of the bike haha I just want to be able to go down some trails in south jersey to see abandoned trains lakes and some other shit

I love arguments in threads this thing has been drama free for some time now go at it!

I'll probably go work on it tomorrow try and get some minor stuff done and the chain boiling ;)

Finally chose a helmet...

Nope... I laughed because it was funny the whole tensioner thing has made it's way here too.. "Fuck off" was a luaghable payback also but it flew over yer head mr butthurt.

As for slack in the chain 35-40-mm is what I use as a rule not to be broken... facts are only facts to the person who owns it... I would call up Roger Decoster or Mitch Payton and ask them, but I would get the same differing answer there also... Opinions and assholes man. I switched from briefs to boxers a long time ago... maybe you should give it a go you seem a little uptight

If I'm wrong... Disclaimer <-----<<< in sig /

You know what man? You got me on the tensioner biz. It really is funny. The insults that follow are unnecessary. If that's your definition of butthurt or your version of being a tough guy, then I know who to leave on the side of the road. No beef. No feelings hurt. You're just a loser. Stay all you want. I'm out.

Cuz he's said "occasional off-road" and because he's gonna end up with a shit ton of slack in that chain due to the extra long shocks

Thats prolly cause youre young, wild, reckless and more interested in grasping that iryna lass! When you come of age girls get a whole lot less graspable and technical shit gets more interesting as the hairline vanishes to the back of the head never to be seen again!
