Victoria! Zeke's CB175 Build

If the design allows, consider using a thermostat so that the oil cooler only comes into play once things have warmed up.
interesting...the plumbing would be more involved...Zeke was running around barber and the max temp was 305 with 80 degree temps. Now we were too close to complete detonation at COTA 400+ degrees. Since we have no chokes and are using starter fluid we may go simplistic for phase one. But I can see doing that for a daily rider!

305 is a high temp for oil. Especially if it's mineral based.

Or was that head temp?
that was the head temp at the spark plug.

Matt on another note have you seen some of the strings for cb160 turbos? My gosh they look like the delorean in Back to the Future?

You definitely have a bit of room to play. :)

I don't think so. You have a link?

blow through cb160 turbo project

Blow through is definitely the way to go unless EFI is an option.

Draw through is OK on short run bikes like dragsters, but can't really compare to the benefits of blow through for a bike that sees more than WOT. Blow through lets you put in an intercooler, too. Not possible on a draw through.

The majority of the small Honda turbo projects I have seen have been go big or go home and it doesn't seem like they ever finished their projects.

A valid concern, for sure.

That said, a unicycle is a lot easier to build than a bicycle, but one is definitely more useful.

For what it's worth, that tiddler is almost definitely a drag bike.

Yup, that's for sure. Can't remember what was on the other side of the turbo though, it was packed in there pretty tight.

That little spring loaded part in the outer cover is critical. If it doesn't "seal" reasonably well against the rotor, oil leaks out and starves the top end. We lost a top end at Road America with that.

Thats why I posted the scooter oil cooler, it has a replaceable filter built into the casting. Then you can dump the transfer piece and oil spinner and run the lines around that area
