Re: Willow...Tank Progress

Wow Troy, that looks awesome! Really well done. All the long hours with the fiberglass paid off for sure, It is smooth and fits together like a glove. Props to the teacher when the student puts out his fiorst piece of work that good.

Cheers to both, can't wait to see it in color.

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

Troy, that sir is pure mechanical sex! Flat out the best lines of any bike I have ever seen! You have crafted a real dream machine. Great work brother, you have made the rest of us look like a bunch of amature hacks!

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

The tank on this bike reminds me of the rudge that turned up in the BikeExif calendar... Its looking amazing!

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

damn Troy the tank looks awesome! Did you ever post the capacity of it? Definitely an around town bike. The lines came out beautiful.

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

By far,my favorite bike of all time. Let me know when you get tired of it, I'll take it off your hands for ya! ;)

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

He doesn't exactly have a history of ditching a bike he's not feeling anymore. ;)

Willow is looking amazing bother. Stellar work on every detail. I don't think a bike could be more personalized if you hand forged the engine.

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

Careful my ass, I want to see him do it. Bet he would cast it in bronze and it would come out clean as hell, looking like the effing Venus de Milo...

Re: Willow...Tank Progress

Appreciate the props man. I really do.

I really don't have anything to report. I'm currently waiting a new filler bung. I went to weld a 1/2 spacer to the bottom and warped the threads. The one now is a little tight to the tank. The tank was beefed up to be 1/4" thick where the bungs go. Anyhow, After welding the filler bung the cap won't tighten down. I hope to drill and bond the fuel line (been studying and mocking for its location all week) this weekend and the mount tabs too. The filler should be here sometime next week, then I should be rockin again.
Until then I'll leave ya with a couple shots from the other day:
