    300 bucks and it ran? where did you find that thing! looks like someone had a lot of fun throwing things together. like a sad baby frankenbike :) great welding job, too! should be a fun bike for your wife to ride. you should see if she'll help you out with the rebuild!

    beautiful beautiful stuff, i really appreciate the color choices. i kind of wish i had a cl instead of a cb, just for the upswept pipes. are you located in ohio?

    yeah lucky for you, you're in texas. we're already dipping below the freezing point here in ohio. we had a 40 degree day yesterday, and my cold blooded 175 refused to stay running without the choke :( im going to have to go get some sta-bil this weekend

    great bike to start with, i think! i love the tank, and the handlebars you have now are my favorites so far. Also glad to see you did something with the exhaust pipe, i didn't much like the original. But that original taillight was pretty sweet, is it gone for good? im interested to see...

    Should I remove the old tank liner? If so, how?

    no doubt the failing liner caused plenty of fouling in the petcock and carbs. my cb175 had the same problems, and one of the first things i did was install in-line fuel filters. generally, the bikes dont come with them - which is lame since they're so cheap. get you some.

    Hey, new member here. insomnia-fueled browsing brought me to your build thread via DSHEP's thread. Just finished reviving a '73 cb175 and got to ride it yesterday, hence the browsing. nice looking work you're doing. i would be reluctant to put those aftermarket carbs on there before trying...
