    Throttle cable housing adapter

I just bought this throttle from DCC and it will work perfectly except for one small problem. One cable tube fits(smaller one), but the other side is too big(both of my cable tubes are the same size). Is there an adapter that I can buy that will screw on to the old small one and fit the large...

FIRST BIKE!!! Suzuki GS450 Cafe Style

I have a 77 GS550 I recently put clubmans on. I had the same problem as you and the solution for mine was rerouting the throttle cables. At first glance there was no reason the cables should have been an issue. I decided to reroute them anyways and it fixed the problem. I also oiled the cables...

    77 GS550

I am posting here once again except this time some minor success! My last project was a 69 CL175, but I didn't complete it. On to this build. I picked up this 77 Suzuki GS550 for $900 with 17k on the clock. I forgot to mention I have only owned this bike for two weeks. I don't have any...

That is a clean 76. I recently picked up a 77 GS550 myself. Good luck to you on your build.

Old school cool fuel cap problems.

That cap is definitely unique and would be a big focal point of the bike.

    77 GS550 High idle

I feel like an idiot. I took apart the throttle housing and looked closer and well the cable snapped. It must have snapped sometime during the install of the clubmans. I found a set and went ahead and ordered.

    77 GS550 High idle

Taking a look around it seems I might need to try rerouting the cables. I am going to reroute them to the opposite side of the frame and also lube up the cables. Hopefully this should help the problem.

    77 GS550 High idle

The throttle snaps back to closed in every direction I turn the bike.

    77 GS550 High idle

Hey folks, I just bought 77 Suzuki Gs 550 with 17k on it. She runs like a champ...well that was until I decided to change the stock bars out for clubmans. Before the swap she was running fine and idling perfectly, after the swap when I start her up she revs very high. I don't currently have a...

    69 CL175

Still working on painting the frame and little parts. I bought a 14.99 bead blaster gun from harbour freight and used baking soda in it. It worked well enough to get the grease, rust, but isn't strong enough to pull paint completely off. That should speed up cleaning the engine. I think i'll...

    69 CL175

Wow it has been a while since I have posted anything. I haven't really got much done, but ordered the electronic ignition. I am going to have to go budget on everything. I will be doing a rattle can paint job. Hopefully I will find more time and motivation to get this done. I sourced out a set...
