1974 Honda CB360 Garage Find Cafe Build

Here are some iPhone pics from 1am. I'll get it out in the sunshine asap and grab some better ones. I couldnt get a good clear shot with all the reflection on the tank from the overhead lights....not a bad problem I guess :)

All was cool until I saw the price list...yikes. I'll stick with stock black for now but I know what I want for Christmas.

Man that tank looks great. I can't believe it's 100% rattle can. Makes me want to just do mine myself now instead I sourcing it out.

Patience and stubbornness....I was determined to paint this thing myself and make it look great....and I did! As long as you don't get in a hurry and really just watch every step you'll be fine. Make sure you buy the best rattle can stuff possible.

You could try Home Depot for cable cover, it's been done before ;)
I need to build a temporary spray booth, can't keep the dust off spraying anything outdoors

Cable Cover?

Since i just tore down my greenhouse to build a new patio, I have been opening the doors to my shed. I hang and spray in there and then shut the piece in. Just did a guitar body for my friend that way and it worked great! Had to drag all my stuff out of there first though. Did not want it coated in red flake.

O.K. this is a plea for help...it's actually begging at this point. I have looked at so many wiring diagrams and every time I go to start my wiring I just fall apart and get confused. I guess I am, by nature, an extremely visual person. I look at the diagram and just see a tangle of lines. I keep looking at the bike...looking at the paper...look at the bike...paper. Then, last night i found a diagram that i liked and it seemed to make sense but then when I got started the colors on the diagram did not match what was on my bike!

I went through tonight and made a list of what I believe is everything I need to get this thing working. I've laid out the indicator lights I am using as well as the switches I want to use to run the bike. I basically need some help to "connect the dots". If any one of you finds mercy on a complete greenhorn, I would be very thankful. I have been sitting in my basement just staring at the bike the last couple of nights and I am getting no where.

You'll also need a DPDT switch for lights as the tail and instrument lights need to be always on when lights are on It's probably easier to make enlarged copies and white out everything you don't need.
The only thing common will be fuse box
You should only need 4~5 copies
1 for charging
2 for ignition
3 for lights
4 for starter circuit
5 for screw up's ;D

I'm beginning to think that this may be way to small for people to see. I also have the DPDT switch in the row of three switches by the head light.

I think the main problem is , most people have a lot of trouble with electrics so won't get involved ;)

Your probably spot on there! No one wants to walk into the middle of a fist fight.

A guy saw my signal for help and graciously took time out of the last couple of days to research and complete my connect the dots diagram. I love this community of people and their willingness to contribute and help a fella out. Not sure I would have been anywhere near completion with out the knowledge and support of everyone here at DTT. Let the fun begin!

I found a HUGE problem w new carb kits this morning...and fixed it easily!!! but you may need to pull carbs, clean and check fuel jets and air jets.

Did you mean to send me this?

Hey thanks for the awesome thread. I love a thread with lots of pictures. That paint job is inspiring. I keep trying to convince myself that I like my ratty look, but now that I see how good it *could* look, I guess I should go back and try again.

One thing though and sorry if I missed it being mentioned: Is the front tire backward? I noticed it on the front page and figured it would sort itself out eventually, but in the latest put-togethers it still looks backwards to me.

Great work! Looking forward to the rest of your thread!

Ordered new cables to rid myself of the "electrical taped death strings" that were the original cables. Slapped em in last night and the pull cable is loose by a good inch or more. So loose that it doesn't even care to begin to lay in the track. My first thought is that they are too long so I grab the old one and put it on. It was a hair shorter but I'm still coming up to long. Lots of guys are running stock cables with clubmans/clipons so I have no idea why I've got the extra length!!! Here is a pic.
