You can just barely tell in the pic, I bet the contrast is more in person. Still it looks good as is and will look even better once all the same white.

Yeah, it's closer indoors, but much more noticeable outside, and yes all the same shade and with the tank decal, badges and stripes it will look smart IMO.
It's a PITA but it'll happen.....still got a lot to do. :)

Must break out the MIG as the engine mounts need stitching up...along with a long job list (must do one now).

Wheel bearings arrived so on with the front wheel, disc etc

I love that massive disc....Just needs bleeding now.

The LED flasher unit works and is flash adjustable....fitted right in.

Rear bearings over the weekend and the rear can be stitched up and bled. Then I can measure for a 520 chain.

Front view is working for me too.

Works for me, too, mate. Great looking bike, you’re getting close.

Bugger....bled the rear brakes and got a nice firm pedal, plesed with that.....come to the front and the leak on the caliper showed up real bad.....I'd remembered I fella on a Facebook group who rebuilt and refurbished calipers to a really good standard, this is what I get for my £60 English pounds.
"strip the caliper, ultrasonic clean polish and teflon coat pistons, new seals and paint gold and new bleed nipple"

It's off, parcelled and scheduled to courier tomorrow, he's promised a 2-3 day turn around.

Picture to remind you what a front caliper looks like ;)

Fire in the hole.....first start up went well, first time ever.

The knocking is a leaking exhaust connection, nothing to worry about. Running it on 2stroke mix until I sort/prime the oil pump.

We had a couple of goes at it to be honest, but our makeshift tank had to fill the carbs and a teeny squirt of 'Start ya Bastard' did the trick. Long way to go but a fire up is a fire up and mo mistake guv'nor :)

This is all thanks to my son, who popped in for Father's Day to finalise some of the wiring.
I now have dip and main beam headlight, horn and of course a running engine...did I mention the engine runs? ;)

Thanks guys....really pleased of course, but still lots to do....to know the engine runs is a major factor.....now just to fettle everybloodything to get it riding, just around the block and then the strip down to blast n paint the frame...then the meticulous final rebuild. :)

Trimmer has been in touch...could have the seat pad back this week ....yay!

You know when you think a plan is going to work out....and then it does.....this is one of those moments.

The trimmer has done an awesome (not a word I use lightly or often) job on the trimming.....Williams F1 blue suede to match the tank pad block pattern and stitched to perfection.

I've just thrown it all on, the trims need securing and the pad fixing in place yet...but it's all going off for a fresh coat of white, so I gotta wait.

The join between seat leading edge and tank will be tighter than in the image, but it all sits snugly and will, no doubt, bed in with use.

Thanks for you continued interest gents :)

Thank you, I'm so pleased with how it's shaping up. The trimmer is awesome...I suggested he 'brand' himself and sew a tag into a seam. They're a father & son outfit (Father is known as Paul the Greek....even though he's Armenian haha) that do excellent work for well know racing teams and have now got noticed by TV channel biker shows in the UK. They work out of a workshop at the rear of their house, you have to know of them to know they exist.
