Whilst fiddling with the clutch/oil pump area I realised I'd not got the oil pump cable terminal thingy...so cut one out of an electrical connector block, drill a hole, cut a slot and it fits/works.
Holds firm and rotates....but, I've bottled it and ordered a genuine Suzuki piece from Fowlers....oil pump is too important to pander to my ego, head rulz in this case.
One final job before the tank etc goes off to paint, was to position the ignition switch (it's not switching the ignition) and liked this position.
Plodding through all the small, but important jobs....of which there's a lot.
