Yeah I saw that one, I believe it is a 125 thumper... I will have to get some pics for you guys... The plan will be to take the 200cc thumper I have and put it in the lightest frame that I can find (I figure the motor will make 13-15hp.) But I really want the frame to be streetable, so that poses lots of other issues.
Haha! Wading boots..... Whew! I got a good laugh out of that! They are some kind of work boots that I just wore the tread off of. My wife says my boots are heavy, but I have to wear steel toe metatarsels at work all the time, so they feel light to me. But if we ever get together, I'll toss some flies with ya!
I know, right? That's why I thought it was funny - they do look like wading boots. The bottoms are so chewed up and have metal shavings in them from work, but the tops are still looking good. Hell, I wore them at the restaurant to eat my $$$ steak!
apologize for not jumping in here sooner. I wish I had more time. Once the snow flys I'll be full time again and maybe have a chance to catch up on all the cool builds going on. Brother I just watched the vid and I love that bike! Really nice work! That pull start put a smile on my face and the smoke made it even bigger ;D Nice attention to detail! Cool scoot man, hopefully I can go back and get caught up on all the reading soon.
I know just what you are saying about the boots. But gotta watch the metal in the soles on mommas wood floors
Thanks Troy. I talked to Von about heading down your way for the get-together but I might have to trailer the Honda down. I'm pretty sure there's a hill somewhere that it wouldn't be able to go up
As far as the chips go, we try to get them out before we get in the parking lot - we have to pay for our own flat tires. It's the really small ones that imbed themselves way up in the tread.
the bike sounds great. how did you set up the pull starter? in the middle of moving so after the 25th the bike will get some lovin. (can't wait thought)
Damn Rich I just watched your video. I don't know why I haven't seen it till now. But it was worth it. bike looks great I love that intake. The burn out sounded nice. The bike sounds great real nice thumper sound to it. I bet she makes some real ruckus at full song. Looks good buddy enjoy and keep it up.

I just rotated the kicker lever around (clockwise) until it pointed down at an angle. The handle...... you know what I mean..... folds pretty neatly under the right side of the motor.
And thanks guys - I love that muffler. Having 3 small screws to remove the baffle is a big help. I'm in the process now of working on the airfilters, plastic covers, and mounting up new tires and wheels. Should have everything bolted up and looking pretty tuesday or wednesday - I'll post some pics then.
On a side note, VonYinzer came out yesterday and got zip around the block on her. I think he'll agree - it sounds better in person!
Ok, end of the day pics. Rear wheel - polished rim, black spokes, "shiny" hub, tire mounted:
Front wheel..... forks rebuilt with new seals, crush washers, cleaned, blah blah blah. I just want to add that the front brake is a PITA. Plain and simple.
And where she sits now. My filters were gummed up so I'm in the middle of cleaning them along with new plastic covers in the making. Still need to get a speedo cable and a new speedo now that I think of it. Oh yeah, and a front fender mounted up. Turn signals and grips are in the mail thanks to DCC!
