Re: '73 CB250 - 'Rustic Racer' conversion.
Cheers guys, noted.
That rattle can bling thread is great. Don't know how I haven't stumbled on that before today.
I guess I'm going to have to give painting another try. That or I think I may be able to get my stuff painting though a mates work If I can do a few favours...lets hope haha.
I'm sure people are getting annoyed of how much I'm changing my mind about schemes, starting at the gulf, then a plain grey, and then back to gulf, and then an aged look, but I'm incredibly indecisive so...haha. I want it to be something I wake up in the morning and can't wait to jump on ...and....I think I may have finally settled on one ;D haha
The thing I really loved about the aged look was how the ageing process turned the original red paint into a colour I always image when I think of an old Indian boardtracker. So I think I may go down that route with a design similar to this.
The thing is, I go back to university in about a months time and, it being about 300 miles away, I can't feasibly take the bike back with me. I wanted to get it done before I leave, but I think I may have to get it about 80% complete looks wise by the time I go back, and take the spare motor with me back and rebuild/clean it up etc, then bring it back home at Christmas and finish the rest of the bike then....unless I can find a way to get the paint sorted in the next few weeks and then just take the motor back with me.
