80s repli racer for the street and now to Eddie

I like it... If you extend the pipe, make it tucked into that little pocket you cut out of the seat, it will really scream two-smoke race rocket..

Oh Fuck Yes! Thank God you're making another 80's race rep! I've been jonesing since you finished the Freddie bike. Daddy needs another hit!

So I have decided I am going to make this a bit differant, I am just going to modify the stock tank, I came up with a upper fairing stay that should be prety cool and do sort of a kr500 paint scheme.

Make it some sort of a 1980s kawasaki race special as opposed to kr 250 knock off, lets face its no tandem twin 2 stroke.
Started some fiberglassing on the tank

That KR500 front fender is too cool. Love your tank work, excellent. 1980's great time.
Cheers, 50gary

Nothing realy big but fabricated almost all of the fairing stays and have it hanging under its own power. trimed the lowers so I can actually fit on it. To me it doesnt look nearly as cool, but it is what it is. Also fooling around with the windsield shape trimmed some off ( this one is cracked anyway). just have to mount the gauges and head light and paint and its done.

Man, I love it. That looks awesome! How did you do the fiberglass on the stock tank? Is there any special process to mating the fiberglass to the steel tanks?

Thanks man! I have had good luck fiberglassing on tanks 2 ways, 1 obviously stripping it down to bare metal and glassing directly on it, I alway bcd fill any voids with filler or resin, 2 bonding pieces to the tank using body filler. I think in my flickr account there are some pics of both.
Thanks again

That is awesome! The wheels really set it off. How difficult was it to run those wheels? I am also curious as to how it rides with the clip ons mounted so low?

The wheels are a prety easy swap, the front disc is the same diameter, just have to space it out. The clip on position is sporty for sure but with the wheels and suspension upgrades it is crazy telepathic handling.
