The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

Tex,
Great build, neat old bodywork. Good to see another Bul coming back from the dead. Don't get it too shiny though - Senior Bulto's bikes were never that shiny from the factory, LOL.
I don't know how hard you're going to ride the bike, but one of the tweeks I remember from the olden days, was a small bolt with a locknut installed in the rear hub spoke slots, between the spokes. Occasionally, the spokes would pop out of the slot after a hard landing, so filling the slot with a bolt solved the problem. Mostly on MX'ers but I do seem to remember some of the enduro guys doing the same thing.
I think you said you have an aircraft supply company in your area - I think AN3's would be the right size but maybe AN4's with nylock nuts would work.
If I can find a photo of the above in my myriad files, I'll scan and email it to you.
Pat
thanks Pat! This taco will be my trail riding bike but so is this...

The reason why I asked is Hugh told me he put the heavier flywheel on his Bandito that he raced. This one weighed in @ 8 lbs. I am pretty excited to see what this does on the Dyno with and without the expansion chamber.

a heavy flywheel can really help for dirt riding/racing ..up to a point matters on the traction in the dirt and what tire./..you lucky dogs that get dyno runs for tuning 8)

Ordered new bars, oil/plugs, decals etc from Bultacoclassics.com (formerly Bultaco.com or Hugh's Bultaco)

Ok y'all talk to me about color sanding polyurethane...I've read it needs to be done in the first 48 hours...1000-2000 etc then polish.

Re: The Count Mount Zeke's El Montadero 360

Back on the slippery slope I see.
I thought you learned it isn't possible to do a cheap quick build if you want pretty and 'reliable' (relatively speaking ;) )
Didn't Bultaco use
'BULTACO - Built to win, built to go' as a slogan at one time?
The 'built to go' being a pun on Bultaco ;D

That's the sunroom? Looks like you have it in the house 8)
I guess as long as you don't start spraying paint in there you won't get into 'too' much trouble ;D

She is a pretty good sport! I asked her to block the glare so I could take a picture...it is in the house. It smells so good in there a combination of new paint and race fuel!
