Cafe Racer Music?

I will definitely be checking out "Buried Treasure." Always interested in discovering new/old music...thanks for the heads up on that.

My problem is, although at one time, only music that was listened to by the original cafe racers qualified as true "cafe racer" music for me, but that's pretty limiting, and would eliminate all "psychobilly" music, etc, so, like a stone thrown into a pond, the music candisates keep radiating further outward. Newer songs such as "Ace Face" by The Attention (video a few postings up) made the cut for me because of the title and the rocking quality of the band.

Then, I've gone even further afield, parsing it to one certain song that work as a soundtrack for riding my bike at a particular time...such as this The The song....whenever I ride the XS on a cool rainy, overcast day, my mental junkbox spools up "Uncertain Smile." Not a "cafe song" in any particular sense, but it works for me...

Hey TonUp, I'll repeat what I said way back in the thread, Cafe Racer Music is whatever moves you. For some it's metal, for others it's punk, others rockabilly/psychobilly and go way back in this thread one guy said it was Billy Joel. I just have been concentrating on songs that have motorcycles as a central theme. If I spent time listing all the music that puts me in the mood to ride or that I might think of while riding, it would be a really long list because I have a lot of music. Not really motorcycle music, but I love riding to any albums/songs by the bronx, red fang, them crooked vultures, mastodon, dib trio. WARNING will make you drive over the speed limit.
 
I just want to say that i F'n love this damn thread!!! "radio paul" and "vonyinzer" you guys got TASTE!!! digging the cut of your jib boys! and which ever one of you posted the black angels videos... a thousand THANK YOUS!!! that band is BAD ASS just like this thread so much good music, and such an eclectic variety represented by folks that all love the same thing: riding their machines! so with all that said, thanks and keep the music coming!!! i play in a band and we try to do the aggressive garage punk thing, screaming down the highway all ways gives me riffs and song ideas... so for me the act of riding in and of itself is music and gets my creative juices pumping !!! so if you care you can check us out here:

My brother just got me into the Black Angels...freakin awesome. Pandora sent some more drone rock my way and I'm really digging Wooden Shjips.

That Vicious Cycles song kicked ass, and it looks like they have a bunch of other motorcycle themed songs, I 'll have to check them out when I have more time. Thanks for the post thrasherbill44.
