"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

So, normally people are trying to get away from the ugly duckling CX500 by turning it into a "cafe racer" (I'm no exception, and my bike certainly needs improvement), but this cat took the bike in another direction entirely:

I'm not saying its terrible, because beauty and eyes and all that, but its just not for me. I am also hoping he does get out of it what he put into it.

How about a 350cc Harley:

What is funny about that?
Title thing might be a killer where the bike is but thats about the only thing I can see

Would be WAY more willing to spend the grand on that then a CB350

You guys do know its not really a harley right?

It wasn't meant to be funny really. Pretty interesting actually.

It looks like a scarf. Men DO NOT wear scarves. Now before somebody says "well sometimes blah blah blah scarf blah blah blah," let me reiterate: MEN DO NOT WEAR SCARVES. :D

The irony of that is beautiful. Standard rocker wear back in the day consisted of leather jacket, boots, Oh and a silk scarf.

Well that was meant to go in the inflatable helmet thread, not sure how it ended up here. Improper use of browser back button by me, I suspect.

Anyhow, who said standard rockers were real men? ;)

I get what you're saying but it was a JOKE.

I don't need a scarf because I have a beard.

Every girl I've been with since 2006, including the current one, seemed to like it. I've found that women who don't like beards are usually high maintenance uptight chicks who don't really know what they like unless someone else tells them.

Made in Italy right? Aremachi or something like that rebadged by Harley???
A lot of american motor products are like that... buy a foreign vehicle, bring it over, rebadge it, call it something else

if HD calls it a HD, then who are we to say it isn't a HD?

HD bought it, advertised it, sold it in their dealerships, warranted it and carried spare parts for it.

They bought MV. Just as well they didn't try to re-badge those too.

HD were enititled to call it whatever they wanted. At the time it seemed like a good way to grab new younger riders. The rest of the world still call them Aermacchi. Some of us are from the rest of the world and some of us big fans of HD. The rest of us don't care what anyone wants to call it. :)
