The front brake (or lack thereof) deal reminds me a lot of the who RatRod movement in the 90s and later. People pick and choose aspects of a culture that fit their views and run with it. No real riders (for the most part) ran without front brakes in "the day", just like no Hot Rod builders left their cars in primer any longer than it took to save up the scratch for a paint job. It's all perspective I guess.

Definitely not new, but it sure has come back with a vengeance. If ALL the hipsters do it, does it stop being hip? Please say yes.
 
Everyone should know that 75-80% of your effective braking comes from the front wheel. Why anyone would remove that much safety from their bike is just insane.

Some states (NJ for one) will fail inspection for no front brake. Besides being stupid

My chopper doesn't have a front brake. It's a fucking chopper, it's really not meant to be fast, handle well, etc etc. the back brake works fine as long as you remember you have to use it. You have to ride like you don't have a front brake, can't be a fucking idiot if you riding a bike that wasn't built for it. Call me an idiot if you want.

I was into not having a front brake looooong before it wasn't stupid. You wouldn't get it.

Yes you can be a fucking idiot. Doesn't matter how you ride, it's when the cage idiot does something stupid that requires a life saving action on your part. I think I like the idea of dual discs on the front of mine. Keep telling yourself you'll be okay and you'll be fine. ;)
I guess you see no need for a helmet either?
