"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Nice ink.

Instantly made me think of "The Other Guys" when Wahlberg is screaming "I'M A PEACOCK, CAPTAIN, YOU GOTTA LET ME FLY!"

That bike was white when I had it... maico swinger and remote gas shocks right off a CR250 (maybe the frame was Maico?) really a great trail bike and decent in the braking bumps but handled like a turd...

What a complete pile!

No way it runs as good as it should with those $5 alphamoto pods on 2 into 1 intakes.

Cilpons with no rearsets, ouch!

4 into 1 with no baffle, must be a race bike!

The seat is for a moped, maybe?

No fenders at all! Love that skunk stripe! Who needs handling when you're THIS cool?

NO BRACING whatsoever at the rear of the frame!

Cut the gussets and left them just like that! Holy twisted shock mounts batman!

Old tires on an $8000 CB? No Thanks!

$80 shocks on an $8000 CB? No thanks!

Look at the cable routing! He even ordered the brake line and it's 5 inches too long!

"New Gold chain and sprocket"...yep. That says it all right there.

Ridiculous claims throughout the ad. Which part made it safer? the ebay chain, the lack of fenders, the unnatural riding position, the tiny seat that allows you to get caught between it and the tire, the old tires, the cheap shocks, or the weakened frame?

That bike is everything that is wrong with the custom bike scene today.

It's been featured on all the motorcycle websites. If you post your own bike does that mean it's "featured"?

No butt you do run the risk someone will find your mistakes ;D ;D ;D ;D

Or the risk that some armchair engineer will take his daily frustrations out on you as you try build a masterpiece through trial and error ;D

Typed in front of a mirror. :-X

Just a little too far for me.

Re: Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

At least they didn't put those ridiculous vintage style tires on it.

The bike is salvageable but sell off that stupid seat, the carb set, buy it for 1.5k (if the engine is good), spend 2k on proper parts, call up your welder buddy and pick up a case of beer for him, Bob's your uncle.

I guess with shaving off 50-60 lbs. you no longer need a fork brace.

Nah he just left the old tires that were on there. $200 for tires was out of the budget for an $8000 bike.
