CB360 - Monoshock Brat

I really like the style you're working on here. Very clean.

So, what about your boys when a bump slides you forward at the same time that spring is compressing?

Bwahahahahahahah, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Looking great by the way. I've got a name for you:

Well played fellas. I too am concerned for my boys. I'll know a bit more about what to expect as soon as I can ride the darn thing. Worse come to worse I can fab up something to cover up that spring, or fill out the gas tank to cover it up. But YES, that would not be fun. I'd just ride straight to the hospital.

Could make a clear cover or something. I've seen some amazing builds that put the clear plastic sheeting in the oven and form it. That way you could still see it's badassery. ;)

Ah yes..."Mono under glass" most of you guys on here are probably not old enough to remember..."Hemi under glass"
Back in 60s-70s a guy ripped the rear seats out of a 66 Barracuda and bolted its Hemi, mid engine style, under the fast back rear window. That car became world famous for wheelies. I never got to see her run, but I did see the car. In Brownsburg Ind. in the late 70s.

Took a night off from the bike to build a lamp for a friend as a christmas gift. He's been wanting some sort of industrial/steampunk looking lamp to put in his music studio. I made this out of some unused sprockets, one of the original shocks from by cb360, and two vintage film projector lenses. The lamps can pivot to change the angle. Hope he likes it.

Thats a great looking lamp! I'd put one in my shop, house...shit anywhere! It'd be great to put on the workbench for rebuilding carbs lol!

Haha. I told him to keep it coated lightly with wd40. Should leave a pleasant smell once it warms up.

My first day of Christmas holidays and I sat down and read this thread from page 1 to 20.

Wow! Such a great project and so many many useful tips on doing a mono-shock swing arm.

I hope Santa brings you then next parcel of bike goodness that you need.

Cheers,

Thanks Cliff, and thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement! I learned a lot from following Neevo's monoshock build and I would recommend reading through that one too.
