CB360 - Penelope

Hey:

Did you sell the second set of pipes? If so, please let me know because I have someone very interested. We need to stay in dialog here...

Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. I finished up the second set of headers last night. I am going to place the mount point for the muffler and get that tacked on tonight. They should be all ready to send it to Chris by the end of the weekend, if not sooner!

I have some bitter sweet news...I got an awesome new job which has me moving closer to my girlfriend and in to my career field of choice (automotive engineering and design)...but it also means that I will be moving and for the time being losing all of my shop access. I haven't found a place to live yet, but hopefully I can find a place big enough for both Penny and I. I have been trying to get all of the machine work done and stuff that requires special tools and I think I am pretty close to a point where I could finish her with minimal tools, which is very exciting. But for the time being, I am moving on Labor Day and leaving her in my parents garage where she will have to wait patiently. This is by no means and end, just a temporary set back/ break from building. I really hope to get back at it as soon as possible.

I should be able to get more pics up tonight!

Well done on the job! I was hoping you'd get that. That's exciting for sure!

Hurry up and send the pipes before you move to SoCal. That way I can knock them out for you.

Push comes to shove, you could always send the bike my way for finishing...

As I said, I am super relieved and super happy with the results, hope you guys like it. Now they go to Chris to get finish welded!

pipes look fantastic! can not wait to see them all buttoned up! always dug chris's pipes nice to see the combo work here... very nice!

Where did you boys buy the perforated pipe for the inside of the muffler???
Ive been trying to locate some locally here in toronto but with no sucess.

You cab get stainless perforated tube in ebay.
I think it's a bit expensive at $13.00 a foot

have you fired up a bike with this style muffler? how do you think it would sound on a 600 sport bike? i may make a shorty dump with it on my sport touring

I havent Joe, but I know that Chris (MotoFiaccone) has a few videos on his website with this similar muffler on there. This one is a silenced version with the perf core. Chris might have the non-silenced straight through...I dont remember

sounds good! i would def want some baffle in there, do not want ti sceaming just a bit more of an aggressive sound... befor ei do that i am going to slice mine in 1/2 (stock muffler) and weld it back up about 1/2 as large... just wnatd a back up plan, sorry to get off topic

Hahaha! No worries...if this topic starts getting in to the 100 page count with off topic stuff...cough...cough...Rocan...then I'll get a little annoyed, but no big deal. Always glad to help a fellow DTT-er out!

Cool thanks boys, Didn't mean to side track the thread but saw you using some and I've been hunting for a while.
Cheers. Keep up the stellar work.

Will it fit with stock swing arm?
your box section one looks longer than stock.

My swingarm may appear to be longer than stock, but it is identically the same length. I wish I had lengthened it like an inch, mounted the shock would have been a whole lot easier...o well

But yes, it will fit on a stock swingarm no problem.
