Completed some frame work yesterday.

Lined up the strut mounts

Tube notching for support tubes. Made by Eastwood. Not a bad unit; gets the job done. I recommend a better hole saw than the kit comes with.

Grinding and tacking complete.

Dropped the frame onto the motor so I can check clearances for additional modifications.

Threw some wheels on.

Got a little bit of work done

Got the seat back from upholstery but it looked way to thick. Disconnected from bike with proportions.

Ripped it apart and reshaped. I will drop it off again today.

Nice build. Have you thought about beefing up the swingarm?

That's a cb550 arm. I could but it's pretty stout. I'm open to suggestions.

btw what kind of foam is that? is it comfortable?

Not sure because the upholstery guy used it on the original seat but it's very firm and damn comfy for making it as thin as I have (1 1/4")

Look at the back of a Kawasaki ZRX for what I was thinking. I figure with all the new stiffness of the front end via USD fork swap, it wouldn't hurt to add some to the rear. I've seen some nice swingarm work on other vintage build upgrades. It would make the bike look more aggressive too. imho

those carbs came out nice guess ill go run mine thru the glass... I was a little worried it would be a little too abrasive

Seat back from upholstery. It's recycled leather. Really nice stuff and very soft to the touch. A bit more expensive than the vinyl but defiantly worth it.

Seat looks MUCH better!

Every time I see this thread I've got Arnold Schwarzenegger in my head "It's not a Tsuma!!!"
