CBigBore 360 engine in the making

My oil and plugs were supposed to come in on Saturday, but nothing so far even. Tomorrow by the looks of it.

Thought I'd swap the sprocket nuts for a few titanium nuts I had left lying around. Another 28 grams off the drive

My sprocket needs were custom so I ordered them from Rebel Gear in KY and I ordered the chain from eBay or Amazon, I forget.

First things first. Turns out my kickstart doesn't grab on to anything... Which I obviously discovered when I had already chucked in the oil that finally came in

Any ideas? Afraid I'm taking the bottom end back off...

You're probably right about having to split the cases. Did you try using the kick starter to turn the motor over once you had the motor put back together?

Already started taking it apart again. No way around it...

Completely forgot to check. Gear selector was acting up and I was so excited by that I got going again too hastily. That's some serious ADD for ya

Engine came out pretty easily, the bike's become considerably easy to take apart by now. Found a fuel line dry break I had lying around. The carbon seat is mounted quick release, too, and with a single nut the tank is right off. Only the taillight wire connector is a hassle when you've got an expense composite seat in one hand, trying to disconnect the wires with the other

With the engine out and upside down it came apart without any problems apart from one snapped bolt. Managed to tap it out with driver, thank f*ck

Took the one bolt from the old engine and managed to track the issue to some glass dust left over from vapor blasting. Just when you think it's perfectly clean... Better to have taking it apart than have it run with that stuff floating around in there...

Runs smoothly again and after I track down a replacement circlip for the one I mangled, it should be good to go back together!

Lucky break with the broken bolt, and a good catch with the glass dust, always better to catch these things before giving it a run.

That's what I thought. An extra once over never hurt...

Went back together without much grief. Got a bit excited again and pulled an all nighter.

Eventually I might've gone in a bit too quick. Wouldn't fire up, but then again I haven't even checked wether I've got a spark or not

I'll try again this evening. Fingers crossed...
