Famous Last Words. ~ 1980 CB750C cafe. *It Runs!*

I guess on the 82 cb750k I have as a parts bike, it came with air/oil front forks. So I can put up to I think 20psi of air into them to adjust for ride.

Just a few more things to do and i should be heading to the DMV to get it inspected and stop wasting this summer not riding.

It's Carpy's Road racer I think. And no mods at all, just some spacers on the bottom of the seat so it can sit level.

I am enjoying your build thread. I have a 900F that I am using a 900c tank on, I really like that tank. I have some other projects to finish first though.
Have you checked out this DOHC site? It is for F's only and most of the guys have a distaste for Cafes, but there is tons of great mechanical advice on the site. Incidently, most guys do not use air in the forks, it was a bad idea back in the 80's, it creates fork stiction.
Here is the site: www.cb1100f.net/index.php

I hate the air forks on my 900. I need to change out the springs and go with a heavier oil for next season.

Yeah at the time of building, it seemed to be a great idea, a "hey! I can adjust how firm it is!" but I do hate them too, they constantly leak leaving me with a very soft front.

I think my tank is a 750A tank, but not entirely sure. I picked it up off ebay and just fell in love with the sharp lines.

Found out last week that I have only been running on 2 cylinders! #3,4. So I'm going to pull the spare motor I have and rebuild the head. Figure I'll just use that engine because it has about 25,000 less miles on it.

I'll post some new pictures of my progress on this bike soon.
